Prince!Eli x SleepingBeauty!Reader

(A/n): this is going to be set more around a classroom/school AU.

3rd Person:

It was a hot day out for (Y/n). She was chilling with her best friends, Martha and Helena underneath an oak tree. The three of them were inseparable.

"Hey (Y/n), I heard there was an audition for the play of sleeping beauty," Martha says.

"What about it?" (Y/n) asked.

"Well I think you should audition!" She playfully punches (Y/n). It's sort of just the way Martha is.

"What? No way! Only if you do too!" (Y/n) shoves her back. They both laugh and turn to Helena.

"S-sorry Helena..." (Y/n) scratches the back of her head.

"It's okay you two, I really enjoy listening to other people read me the stories rather than seeing the plays, my favorite part of it is being able to use my own imagination and my own interpretation," She smiles in the general direction of (Y/n) and Martha.

"Alright Martha I'll audition only if you do," (Y/n) tells her.

"Only if you audition for the Sleeping Beauty!" She smirks. (Y/n) furrows her brows together in embarrassment. (Y/n) hesitates for a second before agreeing.

"Alright fine Martha, challenge accepted,"

-During the Auditions-

"Did you sign up for Sleeping Beauty (Y/n)?" Martha asks (Y/n).

"Yes, yes I did Martha, who did you sign for?"

"Oh I was hoping for either Flora, Fauna or Merryweather," She shrugs.

"Well good luck!"

"You too!"

(Y/n) steps in line with all the others waiting to try out for the Princess role. The way the auditions decided to role were a little different than normal. The drama teacher director of the whole arrangement, Joseph Desaulnier, decided that for the heavier more important parts they would pair up a Prince and Princess try outer together. The two would perform together.

Mr. Desaulnier explained that different combinations of people could create an even better character. He had brought out all the Prince and Princess to the grand stage to try and match up some people. The auditions took a very long time to configure but eventually everyone was paired up. Well... almost.

"We are lacking a Princess," Joseph sighs in disdain. He taps his chin in thought as he looks at the grouped up people. (Y/n) ended up getting grouped with Kevin Ayuso, the class flirt. The groups were so cluttered than (Y/n) couldn't even see who the partner-less person was.

"Hm... Alright Mr. Clark, you'll be joining (Y/n) and Kevin's group in a set of three... Yes... that shall do," He decides. (Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat. (Y/n) couldn't believe her ears, she internally jumped for joy as her luck wasn't as bad as she thought. (Y/n) had the biggest crush on Eli Clark since the beginning of their school year. (Y/n) and Eli had been friends since they were in kindergarten.

"The two of you will take turns playing parts with (Y/n). In fact... this is great! (Y/n) will get more practice, practically double," Joseph beamed. (Y/n) just couldn't stop smiling and Eli walked over and joined their group.

"Alright everyone, find the designated spot on the stage marked by the color of the tag I gave you and start practicing the sheet. I am going to go and assort out the other characters. Do good work everyone!" He waves his hand and saunters out of the hall to a different room.
