Chapter 4: with great powers

POV: virgil

I look at the pocket watch I now own, due to Thomas touching those stones. I click the top and look out my window. Everything is still. I click it again. Most things are still the same as before, except a bird flutters pass my window, and a light breeze rattles the trees.

"Hey Virge-" I click my watch again and turn around to see Remus frozen behind me.

"R-Remus?" I say. I look down at my watch. The minutes have stopped ticking. I click it again.

"-El, Janus' making some food, want some hot dogs wrapped in puff Pastry?" Remus asks me.

"I-Uh...umm...yes please, two please." I stutter, confused about what just happened. I log onto rosenbook and direct message Roman.

We have a little cottage in the forest we call the nest. Just like where baby birds jump out of and fly right into our spells! XD that's where it got it's name from

Don't lie, Remus, it's not a good look on you. Lying is my job. It got its name because it's a place to stay and rest while in the forest, more so like a roost than a nest, but nest can be used to rest sometimes.

Ok. I'll take you and Emile. Emile, meet us at moonlight pub. Janus, take patton and Logan with you, and also meet at remy's pub.

I take a deep breath, as I here Janus yell out that lunch is ready and walk down stairs, to the main building from the attic.

"Ok, we are aware of the fact that Virgil's object can stop time. so what can yours do, patton?" Logan asks, scribbling notes into a book.

"Well, let's see..." patton grabs the amulets he's wearing. His irises glow a light blue, as well as the gem. "I...I can feel...Logan's feeling grey, Virgil's feeling purple...Emile is...yellow....I think they're emotions! Logan is neutral, Virgil is...scared? And Emile is excited." His eyes stop glowing and he lets go of the amulet, takes it off, and hands it to Logan.

"Ok, what about yours Remy?" He asks. Remy puts on a black sleeping mask.

"I can still see you guys. Strange." He then turned his head to Roman, and he fell asleep. He took the mask off, and put it back on, and Roman woke up. "I can control people sleeping." He said calmly.

After a long day of testing out our objects, we learnt the following.

Roman's crown lets him control and create fire.

Logan's book lets him control and create water.

Emile's pen can heal people's wounds.

Janus's staff creates illusions

And remus's sash allows him to shape shift.
