' hot damn sweetcheecks ' Ilaria groaned, exhaustion written all over her face as she slumped to the bench near the park, sweat glistening on her forehead
.' we already went back and forth from our apartment to the furniture shops again and again, can we take a rest please Davina ' she pouted, being sure to put on the puppy dog eyes, making the blue eyed beauty to nod reluctantly to which Ilaria silently patted herself at the back.
They may have changed overtime but she was definite that Davina Garcia can't ever resist her pretty green puppy eyes.
suddenly the soft voice of bebe rexha rang between them both, silencing when the raven head took her phone. Ilaria studied her facial expressions which went under several changes from disbelief to grim.
'Ilaria I may have to leave for work actually, something just came up and it's urgent ' her friend explained, hands gesturing her point to which Ilaria just nodde, her curls bouncing back and forth as she smiled in reassurance which was gifted by a pair of blue eyes glistening in relief.
Davina kissed her cheeck and smiles once again, her phone next to her ear, now crossing roads leaving Ilaria behind on the bench.
With a huge sigh, she stood up taking all the bags they both carried and walked over to the nearby café., she had a slushie but she was still hungry.
While walking she noticed that there was literally no fluffy white clouds in the sky meaning that it was going to be hotter than ever which was not pleasant news for her.
a bell rang, signalling a new customer had arrived, the customer being her. She quickly looked around, taking in the atmosphere.
The café was rustic, a theme she liked. Light bulbs were hung up from the ceiling, lighting up the area with minimal effort, the chairs and tables were made from wood, on each table a small bouquet was present, candles lit around,surrounding the small shop with the scent of lavender. It reminded her of one of the log cabins she had once stayed in at Alaska .
' hey there, how may I help you? ' an aussie accented voice rang from the counter, and her green eyes met a pair of warm brown eyes twinkling underneath the lights.
' um hey, I just want an acai bowl for takeout, mixed berries please ' she ordered placing a 20 dollar bill on the counter.
Within a few minutes, she had exit the café with her acai bowl, which definitely got a few disapproval glances from people who had passed by her,as if they were drilling holes in her brain for eating a goddamn fruit bowl in the middle of this heat.
Ilaria settled on the same bench as earlier and began eating her acai bowl happily. The delightful song from raspberries, blue berries, strawberries and a hint of coconut played across her tongue, she couldn't help letting out a happy sigh in content with what she was eating, needless to say the harmonious rhythm definitely bought her deliciousness and plenty of energy to sustain till she reached home.
The sun had decided to be nice to her,inviting over a few poof big clouds when she had finished her bowl and started heading to their apartment, but stopped at a sign which was red and bright, almost glowing.
It was an advertisement for the local county fair at the amusement park around their neighbourhood. Ilaria went closer and noticed they were giving fresh lemonade and pretzels for customers, simultaneously yelling for people walking by to visit their fair.
Deciding that it was worth a shot, she glazed at the flyer, that was being handed out and took one herself.
It certainly screamed county fair, she thought as pictures of unique destinations clouded her vision with promises of never ending fun echoing at her wake.
The date read 23 May, which ironically was her birthday. With a giggle, she took the flyer and her belongings, and silently prayed that she would go to the fair with Davina.
Davina was not really a fan of amusement parks, Ilaria thought sadly but she knew that Davina would be willing if Ilaria tried her best.
And with that, she stumbled into their home and began cooking dinner for them both.
