Only fifteen more minutes, fifteen more minutes and all my questions will be answered. Grammy said, the moon goddess will show her presence after all sacrifices are made.
Jungkook comes to my side, "its starting in few seconds." my nervousness is increasing.
The sky is changing color slowly, the dark clouds are separating as if creating the pathway. The moon that couldn't be seen a while ago, is now full. The moon seems to be extra full and much more closer to the earth. It looked like someone sort of masterpiece, the moon had many black patches which added more it's beauty making it look ethereal. Wolves had begun their howling after all it is the day of wolves. Many were shifting to their wolf forms totally enthralled by its beauty. Wolves had begun to go crazy. I held tight on jungkooks arm. Slowly a white light emerged from thin air which moved around the sky like waves. A magnificent scent started to spread in the surroundings. It looked like as though a female was trailing through air spreading her scent all around.
All sorts of sounds could be heard, from the wolves howling to the birds chirping in the middle of the night. It seemed as though Vincent Van Gogh himself is running his brush all over the sky. It seemed so magical. Its nothing like grams said. I know some are going crazy out there but this is magnificent. The scent, the gloomy weather, the extra full moon, the breeze causing the pine trees to sway in their rhythm. This is not something any normal human would get to experience and for the first time I'm proud to be a werewolf, no matter what rank. If this is the world the moon goddess has created for us, then I wish to be born as a werewolf always.
I didn't even notice when all of my family shifted to their wolf forms. I'm standing far away from the scene. But I notice the Luna along with the Alpha walking ahead with a piece of sacrifice. I wonder what they sacrificed. Grammy, Me and Jungkook are standing at the edge of the woods, waiting for the offering to end. Many Lunas go ahead but I notice that some are walking with infants.
"grammy? Why are they carrying infants with them?" I ask, she looks at me and then looking away again, "for sacrificing boy." I am shocked. "what? They're sacrificing their babies? But isn't Blue Moon the sign of rebirth and protection?" I speak, Jungkook interrupts "it is baby.. but some who are not able to grow and maintain a proper healthy bovine have to sacrifice their infants. It's not wrong.. After death or sacrifice only a new life is born." "but..but..that's a baby." I say, He hugs me then rubbing circles on my lower back,"I know, but that's how life is right? Full of compromises. We gotta learn to live with it." I know he's right so I don't question further.
