{Nathan's POV}
I'm so glad Claire was going to come with us to America. I hadn't seen her this happy in a long time. Today, after we came in from outside, I wasn't planning on telling her about the trip. I was going to wait for her birthday to arrive and then tell her everything. I was actually going to tell her how I feel about her. I've loved her for a very long time now, but I'd just never got the courage to tell her. I've had girlfriends before, but it wasn't like this. It's a different feeling with Claire. Her laugh, her personality, the way her smile can make my day, I loved her. I'm just worried about one of those Direction boys moving in on her. I know they have a tendency to break hearts. But I swear, if one of them breaks her heart, I'll break his neck.
