Chapter 15

{Claire's POV}

It's been exactly 1 month since Nathan has been released from the hospital and we were in Santa Monica for one last weekend before we had to leave. Ever since everything that happened, him and I have been Inseparable, but because of the crazy fans, Jayne thought it would be best if the boys stayed in a different hotel than me. For my safety, of course. No we were not a couple yet, but I could feel a connection between us. A connection I've never felt with anyone else.

I was in my room listening to "I'll Be Your Strength". This song made me cry every time. Especially knowing that Nathan could possibly be my strength.

I heard something hit my window. And a second time. And a third. It sounded like a pebble or something. I walked over and pushed the curtain out of the way to reveal a smirking Nathan standing in the parking lot. I smiled and pushed open the window.

"Nathan! What are you doing here?"

"I got lonely" he made a puppy dog face which made me chuckle. "Wanna take a walk on the beach?"

"But? Nathan it's 2 in the morning"

"So? They're lights on the beach." I laughed

"Your crazy Sykes" He just smiled and gestured me down. I ran down the stairs and out the door after throwing on my flip flips.

I met him at the end of the parking lot and gave him a hug.

"Ready?" He asked me. I nodded and in a few minutes of small talk, our feet hit the sand.

We walked for a few minutes in silence just listening to the waves hit the shore. Soon after, Nathan broke the silence.

"Sooo.. How's life?" I sighed.

"Nathan, we can't make small talk forever." He looked to the ground.

"I know, I know. Your right." He took my hands and spun me around so I was facing him.

I have him a confused look, but before I could ask him what he was doing, his lips pressed against mine. The kiss was everything I had hoped for. I felt sparks and I felt time pause until I pulled away for air.

"Oh my god. Claire I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I was ju-" but before he could finished I leaned in and kissed him again. When I pulled away both Nathan and I were smirking.

I took a deep breath and Nathan spoke up. "You don't know how long I've waited for that."
