"Thank you youngsters!" The old man called out as Gaara and I took off to the Sand Village. We didn't come in contact with anyone else during the travel to the Land of Earth but that first encounter still made me nervous. As we continued and distanced ourselves from that Village Gaara and I shared a look.

"I want to thank you again..." I whispered softly causing his eyes to widen, Gaara looked away a slight shade of pink on his cheeks. "You don't have to." Although his cheeks may appear red, his voice was still monotone. I nodded my head in response as silence sat in as the two of us continued forward.

We had continued forward until the night sky took over, that was when we had to rest. I plopped on the ground my back against a tree, the surroundings was all woods like the time before. I still wasn't use it... being trapped for so long prevented me from experiencing any of this. A sigh escaped my lips as I watched Gaara jump onto a branch and sat there as the time before. He never did sleep did he?

I sat there my eyes locked onto Gaara's form the entire time, what happens when everything comes down... I can already see the hate in his face, the distrust. What if he is taken away before he can become Kazekage the one thing.

"Gaara!" I called up to him, his form never faltered as his eyes turned to me. "Was there anything else said about the Kazekage spot?" I questioned as his eyes bore into my Amber ones. "No." After that word escaped his lips silence took over again and I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

"Gaara do you trust me?" I asked as I looked towards the floor, the chirps and howls of the night were all around us and my voice was barely above a whisper. "Why shouldn't I?" Gaara responded back, my eyes continued to dig into the ground below me, my heart rate high. As I looked down a hand touched the bottom of my chin and lifted me up. My eyes followed up and contacted with Gaara. His Blue eyes shining. "Why are you nervous?" He asked causing a sense of worry to fall over me.

It's like he can read me, he can see right through me. "I just don't want you to dislike me." I muttered out my heart rate picking up faster than it was. His eyes continued to bore into me, no emotion evident on his face.

"I don't." His words came out smooth as his hand left my chin and he reverted back to the branch across from me. He doesn't dislike me yet that is. I puffed out and rolled my head to the side so that I was looking at the dark forest that surrounded us. My eyes continued to stare into the woods when a figure formed over there.

My eyes narrowed  and I sat up hastily, the man stood there, a cloak surrounding him. I almost jumped to my  feet to guard Gaara when the individuals hood fell down and Kabuto formed, staring deep into my eyes. I fell back to my butt and slumped against the tree as I did before my eyes continuing to track him. His right hand rose high and he brought it to his lips as a silence action, I rolled my eyes and turned away back towards Gaara. He hadn't noticed Kabuto yet.

When I turned back towards Kabuto he was gone, disappeared just like that. Probably monitoring me.

"You guys are back!" Temari cheered a smile on her face. She came running at us and swung around my neck with a smile plastered on her lips. "No one told us you two were leaving!" She cried out, a glare resting in her eyes as she shot it towards Gaara.

"I thought you knew, sorry." I mumbled back, my hand reaching the back of my head. I rubbed my neck after running my hand through my hair. "Any ways, I have been talking to the Elders. I want to start a program to teach the young ones." She stood straight up again after giving me a smile on her face. "Teach them?" I questioned and she nodded in response as she looked throughout the village. "Teach them, like the Leaf does."

A smile appeared on my face as that thought ran through my mind. They are trying to make it like the leaf, fighter's at least. "I like it." I said as I ran my hand through my hair, "Why is that starting?" Temari looked at me then back to Kankuro who shrugged his shoulders. "Tomorrow, so you guys can rest. We are all going to teach them." My eyes widened at his words and my head immediately began shaking.

"Uh no, I won't join." Kankuro's eyes met mine in confusion and shrugged my shoulder in response. "I'll watch, but I won't join. I'm sorry." I didn't feel comfortable helping, when I wasn't really part of this village anyways. Temari jumped in front of Kankuro with eyes narrowed. "Yes you are, we need all the help." I returned the stare and shook my head.

"Not happening." The two of us shared a look until a voice piped in behind me of Gaara's. "She will be with my group then." His voice was smooth as he said that and didn't sound tired at all like mine. I turned around at the voice and stared at him, I truly didn't want to join. "Perfect! That's fine." Temari cheered as she turned away and began babbling to Kankuro about the plans for teaching the kids, she had decided to let them choose who they wanted to train with and all of that stuff. I rolled my eyes, let them choose. Some times you don't get the choice.

"Fine..." I mumbled as I turned away from the group and began walking so that I could get some sleep.
