My vision was filled in a crimson red, it coated my vision and drowned out all inhibitions. My jaw locked in place, cheeks flushed in anguish. Why was daddy out with someone else when he's supposed to be at work? Am I finally being replaced? Am I damaged goods?

I kept my eyes on the two of them, a frown on my usual soft features and arms crossed over my chest. I couldn't possibly forget my lip jutting out in a iconic pout. Jin took notice of my irritation immediately, his gaze following the direction I was looking in.

He sported his own small frown, but no where near as intense as mine. He was utterly confused and oblivious. "Oh look, it's Jungkook! We should invite him over to eat with us. I know you miss him." He suggested, his heart kind and littered with pure intent. Either he didn't take note of the flirtatious woman daddy was with, or he just didn't seem to care.

"No! I don't want him over here." I grumbled then turning to sit in my seat properly.

Just as I was beginning to trust you daddy....

Jin was quite surprised by my outburst, but he didn't try to pry seeing as I was sensitive. "Let's get the waiter over so we can order that steak you wanted, will that cheer you up?" He asked with an empathetic expression.

With a heavy huff of breath, I nodded. I needed to try and distract my thoughts from daddy. It'll only ruin my lunch with Jin.

Finally getting my act together, Jin called out to the waiter, "We're ready to order!"

"Did you enjoy our lunch?" Jin inquired, grabbing my hand in his as we walked along the cross walk to get back home. "It was...okay." I sighed. The entirety of the walk home I nibbled on my bottom lip with unimaginable guilt. I had to have ruined to afternoon with my sour mood.

The mental image of daddy on that date kept flashing through my mind for the remaining duration of the day. His occasional charming smile he'd give her as they basked in calm and gentle banter. It was what I wanted. The breathy laugh he'd give when she said something funny, or the way she'd listened to each enunciated word daddy spoke. I wanted that. But I'm not normal...

"I-I'm sure the woman he was with is just a friend...if that's what got you so worked up little one." He nervously chuckled trying to reassure me. It was the first time I've seen Jin visibly nervous. The usual confident person was suffocating with uncertainty. But he couldn't be more anxious than me.

"I hope so too Jinie." I simply answered hanging my head low, my heart sinking past all the layers of the earth.

"I know what'll make you feel better!" He exclaimed increasing the pace of his walk. I had to briskly jog just to keep up with his long strides.

Curse these short legs.

We made it back to the house faster due to us practically running. The vanilla like smell of the house made my body instantly relax. I was stuffed and ready to explode from lunch, plus the warmth from the sun that shone down on us added to the instant relaxation. "Could I...maybe take a nap?" I asked with a yawn, taking my shoes off at the door.

"Sounds like a plan, but I have a something a tiny better than just a simple nap." Eagerly he took off his jacket, dashing off upstairs. I immediately tried to catch up with his quick pace, but he stopped me before I could take one step. "Wait there until I'm finished!" He shouted from the top of the steps. I shrugged my shoulders, my mind briefly wondering what he could possibly be doing that required so much secrecy.

After a few long minutes Jin called for me and I fumbled up the steps almost tripping over my own legs.

Again...curse these legs...
