3rd Person POV
"Oscar? Is that you?" Ruby could not believe it. Something happened to the boy she... Loved? No. She did not love him.... did she? I mean, sure he's funny, and cute... and very nice to everyone. And his freckles were very adorable and made him even more lovable. Sure, her heart raced every time he smiles at her, and she was nervous when she talked to him... but that was normal, right? And his eyes... they seem to sparkle when ever he sees her. And so what if he was a bit quirky, or his hair fell perfectly without him trying... or if she was the one he most interacted with, that did not mean that it was love... Right?
...
Ok, so maybe she has a crush on him, BUT ONLY A SMALL ONE!! Yeah, that's right, just a small one. Its just a crush. A tiny crush. That's all. Ruby shook her head. This is not the time to play 'guess your feelings' Ruby! She scolded herself. Something happened to the boy she lo-... developed a tiny crush on. But it was early in the morning! Her brain got smacked around during the battle, so maybe she is hallucinating? Maybe this is all just a big dream and she was about to wake up and everything was going to be fine. But deep down, she knew that she was not hallucinating. She knew that she was not dreaming. How? She did not know how she knew, but she knew that the little boy in front of her was real. And that it was her Oscar.
... Oh, gods she did not mean her Oscar, just that it was 'her' Oscar. You know? There was a difference between her Oscar and 'her' Oscar, and that- ah, forget it.
Come on, Ruby! Oscar is somehow 5 years old, and we need to find a way to get him back to normal before anyone else finds out about this!
Ruby sighed. The only person who would know how to fix this is either Ozpin or...
Qrow.
She turned to the frightened 5-year-old and sighed. There was no turning back now. She looked Oscar in the wide avocado eyes and spoke softly. "Hey, what are you doing under there bud, huh?" Oscar sniffed and whispered back.

Ruby's POV
"Th-there was a mwonster in thwa crwasit. and it was rweally big and very scary and loud. And she had wed eyes and a bwack dwess on. and she sent a big bwack monkey with one wed eye out and it hit me!" he stopped and frowned before continuing. "It was bewing rweally naughty so I twied to tell it 'no' but it yelled at me." I am imagining him trying to tell a Grimm, a Beringle none the less, no and chuckled. Oscar looked at me and yelled at me. "IT'S NWOT FUNNY!!! IT HUWRT MY FEEWINGS!!!" Tears started to run down his flushed cheeks as he continued. "I-it scared me an- *hic* and I got scared and scweamed. I hid under my bwankets, and heard another scary sound and *hic* and- and then a loud boom, so I hid under my bed!" Oscar started sobbing, and I felt bad for him, but what really scared me was the monster he described in the closet. It almost sounded like he saw.... I turned to him and reached my hand out to him.
"I bet that was really scary for you Oscar. But the big Beri- monkey is gone and it is safe to come out now." I reach out farther to try to lure Oscar out from hiding. Oscar looked at my hand and then looked at me with hesitation.
