'Working at Leon's Cottage is tiring...' you thought. It was a really busy restaurant. But, from what you can tell, it pays very well. Apparently the people who eat here really love a dish called "Bratwurst" - which is a type of German sausage. Your job is tiring, but rewarding. The environment is clean, the food smells delightful, the employees treat you well, and the customers are nice and polite. The more you think about it, maybe living in a new area isn't so bad. Sure, it will take some time to adjust, but you think you may actually be able to enjoy living here!

"Y/N, stop standing around! We've got a very important customer!" One of your co-workers shout. You run to door to greet the "important" customer, whoever they were, and the man standing there is not at all who you would've expected.

He was short, had to be right below five feet. His eyes were a deep chocolatey brown, and his skin was perfectly tanned. His hair was grey, and it seemed to be growing out on the sides and falling out in the middle. He was a bit on the plump side, but he was probably just like that due to how short he was. He was wearing a black and grey suit. Everything about the way he looked was absolutely perfect, and you immediately recognized him.

He was Danny DeVito, your celebrity crush. You've been obsessed with him for as long as you can remember. You've seen every movie, every tv show, ever commercial, every video, every photo that he's ever been in. You have several pillows of him, multiple blankets of him, and tons of posters. Even your lock screen AND your home screen on your phone is Danny DeVito!

'Gosh, he's even more handsome in person...' you thought. Your heart was thumping, your body began stiffening, and butterflies soared in your stomach. You could hear your own heart beat, and it sounded like a low, loud drum playing directly into your ear.

He smiled at you, and your body was overpowered with a feeling of happiness... and... was it... lust? Snap out of it! Lead him to his table and take his order for crying out loud!

"H-Hello, s-sir... I'm Y/N, and I'll be your waiter/waitress today... at Leon's Cottage... sir...! P-Please... f-follow me to your... to your u-uh... t-table!" You stuttered. Danny DeVito raised an eyebrow, grinned, and nodded. You led him to his table. He sat down and took a menu you were holding out to him. This had to be the greatest moment of your life!

"You're shy, aren't ya?" Danny DeVito chuckled. You shyly nodded - even though that obviously wasn't why you were acting so strange around him. He simply smiled, and said, "that's nothing to be ashamed of, don't worry! I totally get that!"

You looked to the side and blushed. His words were so simple, but his words still made you feel so... so... so... special...

"S-So what can I g-get you... s-sir?" You asked him, in your sweetest, most polite voice.

"I'll have a... hm... I love this restaurant, that's why I come here so often! Anyways, I'll have a plate of bratwurst, potato soup, and for drink, er, water. Water, with ice, please. Thank you." Danny DeVito answered, as he stared at the menu. He looked up from his menu, and both of your eyes locked. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Was he feeling this too...?

Danny DeVito coughed, and your moment broke. He seemed to be avoiding eye contact for a few minutes. You rushed to deliver his order to the chefs in the back.

"Y/N, why are you so stressed out? He's a regular. I mean, sure, he's famous, but he acts like a normal person?" Your co-employee, Autumn, asked. You froze up for a moment. Autumn seemed trustworthy... maybe you could tell her your secret?

"Okay... I'll tell you why, but you have to promise to not tell ANYONE!" You warned her. Autumn smiled and nodded.

"I won't tell a single soul, I swear!" Autumn grinned.

"Okay... I... I... I h-have a c-crush on D-Daddy DeVito..." you muttered.

"Daddy?"

"I mean Danny! Danny, Danny..."

"Oh, that makes sense!" Autumn laughed. "You know he's a married man, though, Y/N."

"Yeah, I know... I'm just so happy to have him here... and, he's a regular, so I'll be able to see him often!" You sighed cheerfully.

"Well, congratulations, because you're the one he's gonna see the most often out of everyone who works here." Autumn pat you on the back. "Now stop drooling and bring the man his food!"

"Right, right, sorry. Thanks, Aut."

"Don't call me that."

"Hehe, sorry Autumn!" you giggled as you picked up Danny DeVito's order. You walked back to Danny DeVito's table, and set his food down, right in front of him.

"Ah, finally! I'm famished!" Danny chuckled. He looked at your name tag so he could properly thank you. "Thank you, Y/N... did I say that right?"

"Yes, sir."

"Well, here's a tip for the excellent service." Danny DeVito smiled, as he set ten bucks down on the table. Your heart fluttered. You reached to grab the money, and right as your hand was on top of it, Danny rested just hand on top of yours. You looked up at him in shock. He smiled.

"Wanna come to a commercial I'm gonna be starring in tomorrow?" Danny randomly asked. Your heart pounded against your chest. This was too good to be true...

"U-Um, s-sure! I... I'd love to!" You bit your lip to keep yourself from screaming.

"Splendid. Also, no pressure, if you end up being busy, that's fine, I get it, but if you can, I'd like to see you there, at 9:00 AM, tomorrow morning." Danny smiled, as he handed you a small piece of paper that had the address of where the commercial was going to be filmed written on it.

Your body felt like it was frozen... it seemed like it was only you two in this world, Danny DeVito and you. Is this what true love feels like?
