I can feel that today's going to be a beautiful day. The weather is nice, not too hot and not too cold. I suddenly want to go out for a swim but I have errands for today.
"Ate! Let's eat na daw kasi we will start preparing na for later's ball!" My little brother, James said while knocking on my door.
"Okay baby, I'm coming!" I said back. I stood up to reach for my phone in the socket. I checked some important emails and my social media. Hay nako, ang dami nanamang unknown people sa social medias ko. That's why I don't like posting eh.
I went downstairs to eat lunch with my family. My brothers and Dad are already there waiting for me. "Good noon family!" I happily said while kissing their cheeks.
"What's with the creepy smile, Mara?" My eldest brother, John said. Panira talaga 'to ng umaga. John is the eldest among the four of us. Next one's Daniel, next is me then our little brother James. Our mom died years ago when she was delivering James, that's why I've been the only girl since then. Both of my brothers are engineering graduates and they are most likely to be the apprentice of our business.
We came from an elite family from the side of my Dad. We are actually located from Madrid, Spain but we moved out when mom died, I was still in 1st year High School back then. How time flies so fast.
"You always have a lot to say to me kuya but I know you love me naman. Pwe." Ani ko na nakapatawa sa kanila.
"Okay, so I want you to prepare fast for the ball. We can't be late because I will be the one who will open the program. We will also do a test run, minutes before it will officially start." Dad said. "This will not just be a ball dahil dito ko na rin i-aannounce ang delayed project natin sa Baguio. Engineers, Architects, Interior Designers, Celebrities, Politicians and the board will be there so I want your full cooperation." He added.
Gosh, another plastikan nanaman ba with Dad's colleagues? I hated them kasi sobrang pa-fc sila kay Dad.
"You got me, Mara?" Ani Dad sabay tingin sa akin ng seryoso.
"Hey, bakit ako? Si Daniel ata dapat pagsabihin mo dad." Ani ko.
Weird, bakit niya ako pagsasabihan nun when in fact I've always been the good girl in this family. I always behave especially in gatherings like this kahit nakakaumay na.
Daniel just smirked and continued eating. Bakit parang ang weird nila sakin ngayon.
"Just please.. Mara.. Okay?" Ani dad. Huh? What's happening? Ano bang meron? "Okay. Dad." I said sarcastically. As we finished eating I went upstairs to take a bath.
Ipinadala na pala kahapon ang gown na pinagawa ko last month. It's so pretty. Ellie Saab never disappoints!
Hindi ko napansin ang oras, 2pm na pala. 6pm ang alis namin and I still need to get my hair and make up done. Gosh. Dad will be mad if I'll be late.
