Chapter 7

So i took this off hold or how ever you say it :P I still have minor writers block but I got a little inspiration so I typed it up. Its short and crappy but it's a new chapter so I hope you like it!

Anoki’s P.O.V

I woke up alone.

I wasn’t sure were I was or what happened. I just remember another boy. What was his name? Oh yah Avery. I sat up and rubbed my throbbing head. I looked around realizing I was in the nurses office, except the nurse was no where to be found.

I need to find Avery. Where the hell is he?

I stood up slowly my legs wobbly. I used what ever I could to keep myself on my feet. I made my way out of the room, down the hall and to the main office. The office later glared at me as I staggered to the desk.

“Is Avery still here?”  The lady looked at me in disgust.

“No he went home, his parents signed him out. Maybe you should go home too.” I thanked here and hobbled slowly to the door. My legs started to get stronger as I walked towards the front door. The halls were silent so I figured there were still classes. At least I wasn’t out for long.

The first place I went to was Avery’s. I needed to talk to him. His mother answered the door.

“Anoki! Welcome! Why don’t you come in and take a seat.” She led me into a room with a couch and a couple arm chairs. I was too concentrated on Avery to really look at my surroundings.

“Can I talk to Avery? I it’s really important.” This made his mother frown.

“Avery’s at school sweetheart. Which is where you should be.”

“Wait the lady in the office said you came and signed him out.” A shiver ran down my spine. Where is he?

“But I didn’t. You don’t think…”

“I wish I could say something else but I think your sons in danger.” She looked at me with tears in her eyes. “Maybe you should go call your husband. I’ll head back to the reserve and get some people to help look for him. Also I don’t know if you know this but your niece Rachel was murdered this morning. I think you should probably call the police also.” She nodded, thanked me and then left to make the calls.

I got up and left

When I reached the edge of the forest I decided I could start running, slowly at first, than picking up speed. I didn’t want to collapse or pass out again. It would be hard for people to find me out here.  It took longer than normal but soon I found Keme and Koi.

“Wow you’re back early.” Keme said without looking at me.

“What’s wrong?” Koi asked jumping up from his spot on the ground.

“I was attacked at school. The demons killed Avery’s cousin and attacked us in the gym. I guess I passed out after. But there’s something very wrong.” This caught Keme’s attention.

“What do you mean something’s wrong? Well besides the fact that demons would attack at a school.”

“When they killed Avery’s cousin there was a message. It said ‘Join us Anoki’. And when I woke up after passing out I went and looked for Avery. The office lady said he went home with his parents but when I went to his house his mom said he was still at school. Something happened to him. And whoever has him is trying to get me to join them. I’m not sure why they want me though.”

“Shit.” Keme said standing up. “We need to tell Chief Otaktay.” I nodded and we raced off to find my father.

We found him sitting in the middle of the reserve where we have ceremonies and rituals. He had woman scattered all around him batting there eyelashes and hanging on his every word.

“Aponi? May I speak with you? It is a matter of great importance.”

“Excuse me ladies.” He said giving them a smile and then climbing to his feet.

“Why would you interrupt me? What’s so important that you decided I needed to know about it?” If looks could kill I’d be dead a hundred times over.

I told him what I told Keme and Koi. His eyes widened. When I was done he told us he needed to consult the elders and was off. By this time it was late afternoon. Kio, Keme, and I went to the bathing creek and sat down. I was afraid. For Avery, for me, for the world! Something bad was happening here. And somehow I was caught in the middle.

Avery’s P.O.V

I felt a jolt and then the car stopped moving. I heard voices, mostly yelling and then the trunk was opened. The demons helped me out of the car and carried me to a cabin, my limbs still chained. My muscles ached from being cooped up in the trunk for so long. I had wanted to fall asleep but was to afraid of what will happen if I did.

“Mmmmurgh.” The duck tape muffled my moan. I tried to escape from there arms but only succeeded in making them drop me face first into the grass. Ouch.

“You stupid bitch.” Something hit me in the side. I groaned in pain.

“Careful. That ‘bitch’ is the only way we will be able to get Anoki here. Take him inside.” And that’s just what they did.

Anoki, please don’t try and save me. I don’t want you to get hurt.
