DDINNNGGG.....

DDIIIINNNNGG.....

"Come on, open the door already........why is nobody answering the door? Did they forget me already?" I ask myself.

Maybe they forgot you're coming today. Wait, I hear some frustrated growls across the door. My wolf replied as soon as the door swung open to reveal my sleepy brother, Dexter, with red boxers hanging loosely on his hips. His body is still as muscular as I remember, his hair dyed a lighter brown. He rubbed his eyes annoyingly when he realized who was standing in front of him. The biggest smile erupted on his face as his pearly white teeth revealed themselves.

"Omg, Lexi?!? Is that really you? Come here!" He wrapped his arms around me in a bone-crushing hug. "My baby sister grew so much. I see you're still fit as ever."

"Dex.....please....I...ccaantt brrreatthe...." I manage to choke out.

"Oops sorry, I totally forgot you are coming back today from your training in Europe. You have to tell me all about it, I haven't seen you in 2 years and you never pick up the phone when your favourite brother calls."

"Dex, you're my only brother...." I laugh. "Yeah, um sorry about that but they've been training us and pushing our limits to the max though I never complain. Actually, I quite enjoy it especially since I kicked so many alpha's asses back at the academy." Not to brag but I trained very hard, starting early at 7am and finishing at 8pm with some rest here and there. One thing you should know about me is that once I set my mind on something I go above and beyond to achieve it. My father always adored this quality in me and wished my brother was just as ambitious, regardless Dex is one of our pack's most fearless warriors and our soon-to-be alpha.

He looked at me and pouted his lips, "You can still find 5 min in your busy life to give me a call. Come inside, mom and dad have been anticipating your arrival ever since...well if we're being honest, ever since you left." We laughed as 3 familiar presences approached us in the hallway and I knew immediately who they were by their scent.

"LEXXXIIIIIII!!" My mother, Luna Sophia, screamed as she rushed wrapping me in her warm embrace. "Oh my baby girl, you have grown up so much. How was your trip? Did you have any troubles? You look a little sunburnt. Do you need some cream so it doesn't get worse? You have to tell me all about Europe and all the travelling you did. Were there any cute European boys? I'm dying to know. I heard the boys there were very well-mannered and nice. Is this true?"

I was baffled by the questions my mother aimed at me. Not sure which one to answer first, I attempted a meek reply, "Well, there wa-......"

"It feels so nice to not be the only woman around this house filled with crazy, hormonal wolves." My mother exclaimed.

"Heyyy," my brother took offense, "we are not that bad mom. Don't scare the girl away from us, she just came back."

"Dex is right honey. Let our daughter breathe a little, look....she's still standing at the doorway." My father, alpha Conrad, beamed as he approached me and gave me a soft hug. Oh how I missed him and my family so much. They are literally the best parents anyone could ever ask for. They are all so understanding even though my brother annoys the shit out of me and purposely teases me.

"Ahem." Someone cleared their throat as I let go of my dad to look at the fourth person that came to greet me. It was beta Jesse, he is like my second brother although we are the same age of 20. We practically grew up together and at one point everyone thought we would be mates but as we turned 18 we soon found out that we are not. If I had to admit, I was a little bit disappointed because Jesse is very hot. I'm sure he's caught me drooling over his baby, blue eyes and soft, blond hair many times. He's like the perfect guy any girl would want with his 6'3'' height, body built for modelling and those muscles that try to peek out from under his shirt.
