"Oh hey! You must be my room mate." Nicolas said with a smile holding his hand out. Dave was now a nervous bean trying to calm down. Dave reaches to shake Nicolas' hand, "Y-yes a pleasure to m-meet you." Dave was now a stuttering mess and couldn't look Nicolas in the eyes.
"So what's your name?" Nicolas asked smiling, awaiting Dave's response.
"U-uhh-." Dave was processing the information trying to think hard, for saying his name he had to think hard for it.
Nicolas waved his hand in front of Dave trying to out-space him which he succeeded catching Dave's attention, "A-Ah! It's David, David Aldridge." Dave said almost instantly trying not to embarrass himself in the face of Nicolas.
"What a nice name! Well call me Nicolas, Nicolas Buer!" Nicolas proudly said to Dave. "We're gonna be the best roomies!" Nicolas cheered as he gave Dave a bear hug (it's his way of greeting new people) which caught Dave off-guard and wasn't prepared.
*W-why is h-he hugging me?!?!* Dave thought as his face was looking flustered as ever.
Nicolas lets go of Dave and heads to his room to prepare his stuff, "If you need anything I'll be in my room!" Nicolas waves and closed the door.
Dave rushes to his room (which was already fixed and prepared, yeah he was early than Nicolas) and plopped down onto his bed to squeal at his pillow.
"H-how can someone be t-that handsome?!" Dave said to himself rolling around left and right on his bed. "I'm gonna have a heart atta-." Before Dave could finish his sentence he heard a knock coming from his bedroom door.
He got up with a pillow in hand and made his way to the door opening it slowly to see Nicolas standing with a bag in hand. Dave was surprised, "U-uh is there a-anything you need?" Dave tried his best to stay calm but his heart was beating faster than his own thoughts.
"Oh, I almost forgot to give you this." Nicolas offered Dave a plastic bag which he took, it contained ramen and strawberry juice. *N-nani?!?!* Dave thought looking shocked.
"Uhmm, hope you like it. Take it as a welcome gift for being room mates!" Nicolas said with a nervous smile scratching the back of his head.
"T-thank you-." Dave said in a whisper which Nicolas didn't quite hear.
"What?" Nicolas rephrased as Dave blushed. "T-THANK YOU!" Dave said a bit louder as he closed the door immediately, leaving Nicolas mildly confused. *He must be shy, hehe.* Nicolas thought feeling determined to get along with Dave.
(P.S. he's only shy to Nicolas)
Dave was still blushing a light pink as he held the strawberry juice and placed it on his desk, "H-how did he know I liked strawberry?" Dave smiles faintly feeling wholesome.
*Bzzzz, Bzzzz, Bzzzz*
Dave's phone rang, "Hello? Who's this?" Dave asked as someone answered sounding familiar. "OI! YOU DON'T KNOW ME?" It was Dave's friend Lorcan Sanford, he's been friends with Lorcan since Elementary (basically like his brother now lol) and now speaking with Dave. "Sorry dude, I bought a new phone and haven't had the time to update the names." Dave said nervously smiling toned, "Nevermind that, so you all done with your room?" Lorcan asked with Dave replying with a 'yes'.
After their small talk Dave decided to lay down and rethink all the things that had happened today, "Handsome room mate, handsome room mate-." Dave couldn't take his nap cuz he was held up by the thoughts of Nicolas.
Dave sat up and just played games on his phone to distract him, which kind of worked?
A few hours later Dave heard knocking from his door, he knew it was Nicolas so he was a bit prepared as he opened the door being greeted by Nicolas. "Y-yes?" Dave asked looking down trying to make zero eye contact.
Nicolas noticed and just got straight to the point, "Uhh, I made dinner." Nicolas said, "So if you wanna eat, I made some curry." He added making Dave's stomach grumbles, Nicolas heard and chuckled.
"Come on let's eat, looks like you're hungry." Nicolas suggested as Dave nodded feeing embarrassed.
They sat down and ate the curry Nicolas made, "Mmm, t-this is delicious!" Dave couldn't help but compliment Nicolas' culinary skills.
"Aww really, well enjoy the food there's plenty for the two of us." Nicolas smiles brightly seeing someone enjoy his dish.
While they were eating, they got to know each other a little and had a chit-chat as Dave enjoyed the food. Dave seemed to calm down and enjoyed his presence with Nicolas.
Dave for the first time in Nicolas' eyes smiled with sincerity which Nicolas noticed, "Your smile's cute by the way-." Nicolas said unknowingly as it surprised the both of them.
"U-uhh I mean you have a nice smile!" Nicolas tried to repeat what he said stuttering a bit as Dave was already blushing deep red.
It was awkward for a bit but Dave chuckled making the both laugh. "Y-you think so?" Dave asked in a low tone that Nicolas was able to hear.
"Hm? Oh you mean-." Nicolas stopped at first but continued. "Y-yeah I think it is cute." Nicolas finished with sincere in his tone.
Dave stood up being in a hurry. "T-thanks for the food!" He bowed and dashed his way to his room.
"O-oh ok, goodnig-." Nicolas was cut off by the door closing made by Dave.
"How interesting." Nicolas said to himself standing up to fix the plates and got ready for bed.
Dave in his room, was a blushing mess. He couldn't sleep now thinking about what Nicolas said. "Gosh darn it! Why me?!?!" He whimpered trying to sleep eventually falling asleep after 2 minutes.
