Words Slip

"Fucking idiot! Why couldn't you just tell him the truth?!" My door creaked open as Sam walked in. I jolted up and turned to face him.
"Tell me what?" Sam asked, frustrated.
"I-" I stuttered, Sam walking closer to me. "I think I might be Bisexual!" The words came out without my brain even letting it, I really just said that.
"Colby," Sam crawled on the bed next to me.
I hugged my knees and formed into a little ball. I wanted to disappear into a little dark hole.
"Why didn't you just tell me earlier?" Sam asked.
"I, I was scared." I looked up at him, eyes glossed over.
I felt Sam's sweet arms wrap around me and suddenly I felt okay. He held me for a few minutes, us rocking back and forth soft and slowly. I cried softly but had a little smile on my face.
"Colby, don't cry, I'm here."
Those words rang in my ears, "I'm here." I hugged him back so tight I was afraid I would break his back again. We let go as he asked me, "What made you realize?"
