I followed Sam into presumably our room. It was extremely spacious, considering that there would be four people staying in each room. There were two wooden, queen sized bunk beds that were placed in two corners of the room. Each bunk had curtains that we would be able to pull open and close to give us more privacy as we slept.

It was really cute and aesthetically pleasing, not going to lie. I was excited to be sleeping here the next two months. While I had been marveling at our large windows and the view we got of the backyard, I didn't realize the other girls had claimed their beds already.

"Angie, looks like you're stuck with the bottom bed of our bunk." Sam said from atop her bed. I looked over, giving her a side smile, and running over to dive onto my bed. I bounced nicely, to then slowly sink into the large plush bed.

"Shoot, this is the life. During our free time I'm probably going to be spending it here." Just as I was getting comfortable I heard Kiara, another teammate, curse under her breath, "Guys.. It's almost 9!!"

All four of us immediately scrambled to get our pajamas on and run downstairs into the backyard. I had on grey leggings and a baggy shirt that had the Coca-Cola logo on it... nothing cute.

As we made it downstairs, we all knew our room was the last room out there, trying to discreetly make it outside without our coaches noticing. Thankfully we were able to join the large group of people outside, it seemed like nothing had begun yet since the coaches of both teams and Miss Cindy were simply talking together in front of everyone.

Craning my neck I searched for my two friends. Just as I was about to look to my left my eyes connected with a certain pair of dark brown ones. Slightly surprised yet amused I lifted an eyebrow as if to say "What are you looking at?" Elijah simply shot me a boyish smile then looking away to one of his friends who was talking to him.

Rolling my eyes I continued to look for Sarai and Marty.

Elijah's POV
(a/n: I've never written in a boy's pov so here we go. Sry if it sux.)

If you weren't paying attention you wouldn't have noticed the group of girls creep out of the back patio doors, but I happened to be looking for a certain someone and ended up spotting her and who I assumed were her roommates join us.

Without meaning to, I caught myself eyeing her up, eyes lingering on her legs that were incredibly toned yet slim.

Damn.

She wasn't even revealing an inch of skin and her shirt left all the room in the world for imagination, yet I could tell by just looking at her that she was fit. I liked that. A lot.

I heard Connor saying something next to me but I was focused on Angelina, trying to catch her searching gaze.

Maybe... she's looking for me? Nahh we just met... unless.

My thoughts were silenced as I realized she was looking at me. Did she notice me staring? Oh crap, usually I'm much smoother than this. Trying not to seem like a creep, I just held her curious gaze, watching her left eyebrow slowly lift up.

She was cute. I chuckled because her face seemed to not like the fact that I was looking at her.

Seems like the feisty type. The fun kind.

"Eli man! Were you even listening?" I turned to Connor, a new kid on our team who I had quickly found to be annoying, and shot him a look of half interest. I saw Judah quietly laughing behind us, finding my uninterested self funny.

Trying my best to not come off as mean, I made up a random white lie to get myself away from Connor and his rambling. Catching Judah's eye I silently asked him to follow me.

Once we were on the outskirts of the group, I stopped walking and faced my cousin, "Do you know what we are out here for?"

Shoving his hands in his pockets, he answered tiredly, "Yeah, I over heard Coach say that we were playing some sort of ice breaker game so that both teams could like, get to know each other."

"I kinda want to sneak back to our room and hop on the PS4 Brady brought."

"As much as I would rather being doing that, Coach would immediately notice your absence because you're, well, captain. Wouldn't be the smartest thing to start camp off with."

Brushing my hands over my face I sighed loudly, groaning. "Man, you're right. I just want to get camp started."

"Alright everyone! Here's the game we will be playing as sort of an ice breaker. You guys can see that it is pretty dark right now and it will only get darker." The older guy coach of the Grenades had begun yelling the instructions of the game we were going to play.

"We have two flags here because we will be playing..." the man paused, looking around, "Capture the Flag... in the dark!" Upon hearing this I lost interest in sneaking back to our room.

Hooting with some of the other guys who got excited like me, I heard the majority of the girls groan. I looked over to Angelina, watching her smile a bit with her arms crossed. She looked like she wanted to play.

"Awesome, seems like everyone wants to play. Okay, so clearly it'll be team against team, and since I know everyone knows how to play, I will just briefly establish some ground rules." The guy coach continued on, "Each team will be allowed to pick where they want their flag but once you pick a place, you are not allowed to move it and that is your base. Only three people are allowed to guard their flags within six feet from it. As for where you guys are allowed to play, the border is the area surrounded by the trees, do not go beyond or else you will be kicked out the game."

"That's a pretty large area. Nice." Judah said as we all were looking at the backyard, thinking of the best places to put our flag.

"If you are tagged by the opposite team, you must go straight to their jail that each team will establish. The only way to win is if you steal the other team's flag and make it back to your base. We will play until one team does so twice." Once he finished he took held his hand out, fisted as there was something in it.

"I'm going to flip this coin, heads for the Angels, tails for the Grenades. Whoever it lands on first will go and pick their flag post and jail. The other team will do the same afterwards." And with that he flipped the coin, swiftly caught it, and smacked it over onto the top of his right hand.

"Angels! Your team has two minutes to go establish your post and jail! Your time starts now!" The guy coach yelled loudly before being drowned out by the commotion of my team running to find a good place to put our flag.

I had noticed a small hill on the farthest bend of the field. Running towards it I called for my friends to follow, "Guys! The hill!"

My whole team- or mainly the guys who were interest in playing- immediately agreed that this was the best post to protect our flag since we had the protection of the forest behind us and we were on higher ground.

We decided our jail would be a few feet away beside our flag post since we figured we could keep an eye on our flag and our jail at the same time.

Hearing a distant whistle being blown that signaled the start of the game, I called for some of my teammates to watch the flag while the rest of us ran forward, aiming to find where the Grenades had put their flag.
