Ally looks at her phone and sees Sasha cancels their plans due to unexpected family problems. Ally sighs, and looks at Duke, their Doberman. "Looks like it's just us tonight buddy." Duke whines and jumps on the couch with her.
After Lauren had been taking in more hours with work, and the kids after school activities, Ally was alone a lot. Sasha was her yoga instructor, dance teacher, and occasionally her massage therapists. She adored him and his husband Val. They made her laugh and brightened her day.
Ally looks at her phone, thankful she has no clients this weekend. Ally was a pediatrician, who worked at her family's privately owned practice. It would be hers one day. She felt like she never stopped working though. But having twins meant you had to get two of everything.
Duke lazily lays on top of Ally.
Ally gives him belly rubs but stops as she hears a deep rumble. Looking at Duke, she winces, "Don't suppose that's your stomach is it?" Duke gets off the couch and Ally sighs and goes to her garage whether the sound came from.
She already hears the water. Opening the garage door, Ally sees water flowing out from the ceiling. It's filling up and about to come into the kitchen. "Oh great...."

After Lauren drops her kids off she heads home. It wasn't late but she took them to dinner before she took them to their friends so it was night. Lauren enjoyed having her kids but she knows they're getting to the age where they want to be with friends.
Lauren heard her phone go off and she sees it's Ally calling.
"Oh fuck me." Lauren felt her heart race since the kids were gone but she picked up anyway, "Hello?"
"Hey Lauren, could I ask you a question?" Lauren heard the worry in Ally's voice, "Of course, you okay?"
"Yeah I just need somewhere to stay for tonight they're working on the house and I can't sleep here tonight." Ally says as she looks at her flooded house with the workers everywhere and before Lauren could think twice she says, "Sure thing! I'll go get you right now."
"Thank you so much, see you in a bit." Ally hangs up and Lauren realizes she's gonna have to tell Ally the kids weren't with her.
"Great one more thing I'm gonna have to hear this weekend."
