It's fall season; or what you always say, the best time of the year—excluding the Christmas season of course.

The cool and fresh breeze, with leaves falling from the trees is the only thing that's keeping you sane right at this moment.

You let your slightly curled hair down, playing some music as you looked at the time: 1:38pm. You stood up and entered the last class you have for today.

You sat down on your usual seat, the one located near the window, which is the best spot to look at specifically when the rain is pouring.

'And in my mind now,
I've been over this a thousand times.
But it's almost over, let's start over.'

You sang, heaving a short sigh after as you took your phone out, only to notice that someone was behind your back when their reflection on your phone screen was seen. You turned your music off and removed your earbuds.

You turned your gaze to him, with your heart starting to beat so fast, enough for it to echo through your ears.

"I never heard you sing," He started with his perfect white smile showing, "but you sounded great."

"What? No, I don't." You chuckled lightly, "Please continue, I'm sorry I disturbed you." He said as he ruffled his hair. "I'll stop now, sorry." You mumbled shyly, preventing yourself from smiling. "What are you still doing here anyway? Classes were cancelled, Ms. Jan called in absent." He said, changing the topic.

"Really? No one told me." You answered, fixing your hair.

"Is the seat next to you taken?" He asked, "No, why are you asking? You just told me classes were cancelled, aren't you gonna leave?" You asked, making his eyebrows furrow. "I think I sounded rude, but you get what I mean, right?" He chuckled at your defense, nodding his head.

"Yeah, it's still early. My brother would probably ask me why I'm home early, or maybe my Mom." He explained.

"I guess I'll be staying here too to keep your company, if that's okay?" He chuckled, "The school isn't mine for you to ask," You both laughed, "but thanks anyway." He smiled as he sat beside you.

Silence filled the atmosphere, slowly making it awkward for the both of you. You know him and vice versa, and that is enough for you to treat eachother as friends.

You've known eachother for almost 3 years now since you were classmates every year after entering high school.

The situation you are currently in right now is making you nervous. Maybe this is what it feels like when you are seated next to someone you liked from afar?

"Y/n?"

You snapped out from your thoughts, "Yeah?" You asked, dumbfounded. "I said, do you mind if I play some music?" You scratched the back of your head, "Go on." You mumbled as he just smiled.

Why is he always smiling? You asked yourself as you wondered how he's getting more handsome and handsome each day.

The beat of the song echoed through the room, making your heart beat fast once again. You tried to stop yourself from screaming, he was playing One Direction. It was from their newly released album and it wasn't the single that he's playing.

You were lost in your own thoughts, asking yourself different questions about him possibly liking One Direction, thinking that he has the same interest in music as yours. You can't go on like this, maybe he just went through it accidentally? You wondered.
