"I was wondering if you'll go out with me?" Is all I heard Connor say in that crowded hallway. I looked up to see Mira facing him in shock. I snuck up to her side, also facing Connor. "She'd love too." I said to Connor, flashing a fake smile his way. "Right, Mira?" I smirked at her. She slowly nodded her head. "Cool. I'll text you later." He turned away, but then turned back. "Oh, Uh, Bye." He said before spinning around and running to catch up with Tom. I turned to face Mira, the shock still covering her face. "I got chu!" I said before walking away to get to my next class. "Always have, Always will!" She yelled down the hallway. I smiled and waved and continued down to my final class. Mira was right. We will always have each others backs. And we have since we were two years old. I remembered the day we met. I was running around the top of my street. I saw another girl waking down the street, so I ran up to say hi. I wasn't shy when I was younger, which is weird, because now I can't even stand up in front if my class. "Hi. I'm Elizabeth. You can call me Liza." I said to the girl. "I'm Miranda." She said looking to the ground. "Um... Just Miranda I guess." She shrugged. "Can I call you Mira?" I asked. "Sure. Wanna come to my house and play?" She asked. I looked back at my mom who had followed me outside. "Please?" I asked giving puppy dog eyes. "You both can come over if you want, we live right down there." Mira's mom said, pointing to one of the houses in the Cul-de-sac.
