One Year Later

Thursday, 27 July 2017.
It has been one year since Josh and Maya had met and now they are so much different than they were when they met.
Maya just finished her sophomore year at the new high school and Josh finished up with high school.
Within weeks he is starting college and after everything he decided to rather stay at home than a college dorm because it is easier and he wants to be near his family.
Or that is what he says to everyone.

He was worried about Maya after the disaster with her father the previous year and now he doesn't even have any regrets over getting more involved with Maya.

Maya had become friends with Josh and maybe one or two more kids but she had also kept her distance from children because of the whole thing with her father.
But goodness actually does know what is going to happen.

"Morning, Mrs Matthews," Maya said as she grabbed a bottle of water.
"Morning, Dear. Josh is already out. What is up to your day?"
"Nothing much. I'm going to the park. See you later," Maya said and she was out of the door.
