Eggman has evaded the karmic IRS continuously and everyone else had to handle the consequences. Unfortunately others have and will continue with the debt to screwing up.
Scar, Elise, Lapis and Circe infiltrated Eggman's base. They narrowly escaped after attempting to kill Eggman after seeing how cyborgs were created. They saved a Cyborg, an alien named Eclipse who was apparently related to Shadow. Scar ended up heavily injured and damaged, needing repairs now.
Twister and Orbot teamed up to create a code and device that would free the Cyborgs. X and Michelle worked to train Cyber is to control his chaos energy abilities . The Heroes are, or were, having it easy.
Eggman, now having to move to another base, began another experiment. One more volatile that would mess with time and space.
