5 - Beaux's POV

Last night
I cried for most of the night. I heard Hope downstairs shouting, most likely at Jonah. She came up and wanted to cone in. I told her I wanted to be left alone. She shouts back and says she wants to help me and that I probably need to talk to someone now and she's right here. I told her to go away and leave me alone. She then started to rant about how she's always been there for me. I didn't respond so after a while, I heard her footsteps go down the hall. I close my eyes and that time I properly fell asleep.

Now
Hope enters my room. I look at my phone. 5am. She sits at the bottom of the bed, her legs crossed and a blanket wrapped round her.
"Why are you up so early?"
"I barely slept."
"Neither."
"Listen Beaux. About last night."
"It's fine. You just wanted to help me."
"He's an ass."
"To you, everyone's an ass."
"True. You're gonna have to tell them the reason why you don't like talking."
"What am I supposed to say? My parents were assholes and didn't want me to say a word as children were to be seen and not heard and every time I made a noise I'd get thrown out for it."
"Basically. We all have reasons for why we do things."
"What's your reason?"
"For what?"
"This."
"To check up on you."
"Stop talking bs. What's the real reason?"
"Wasn't that the same word you used on Jonah yesterday?"
"Changing topic."
"Ugh. Fine. We kissed?"
"Who? Wait let me guess. You and Daniel."
"No, me and the Queen of England."
"I don't think she's your type and I'm pretty sure she's taken."
"Beaux. I'm serious. I really like him and I think he likes me back."
"I ship it!"
"Ugh why!?!"
"Because it's funny. You guys can be called Haniel! Wait! No. I got a better one. Dope! Omg! You guys can be Dope."
Hope tries to look annoyed but fails and joins me in laughing at the shipped name. We are still laughing as we go downstairs to get some food to take back up. But someone's beat us to the fridge. Jonah.
