The small chatters of men and women getting to know each other, shuffling servants delivering rounds of fine wine and warm rich food, with the small celebrations of small groups. The bar was lonely and only the bartender stood there washing out some glasses with a damp cloth letting out a small smile to welcome customers in. Jeffery Woods was dressed in the fine deluges suit as the tie hanged loosely around his neck smelling of red rum and mint.
His least job was a perfect masterpiece as the rich bastard preyed and pleaded to be of his list by paying him money or giving up his five year old daughter up with his wife. Jeff hated those kinds of people thinking of the world as their playground and never thing of the cost of the small lives of others. The scrams that man made was the sweet chocolate to his mouth or the smooth kiss he had for the first time.
Right now he was over and done with it bored out of his mind no blood lust not even the thought of a small reward for himself and his good work. He needed something. He needed...
"Bloodily Mary straight up," a soft gentle famine voice caught him be surprise that he hardly noticed that she was there. Waving her slim hand at the bartender she seat herself one seat away.
She looked like any other women in her very early twenties. Black hair covering her shoulders, a gleaming pair of brown eyes, smoothed pink lips, and coco silk skin. Wearing a lustful color of red which made many men in the bar to stop and take a other seconded look.
She simply smiled at him but it felt like a knife to his eyes. Opening her mouth "Lost something bud," eyes battered as Jeff was about to answer the bartender came back with the bloodily Mary then gave him her thanks and looked back at Jeff. "It's lonely over here".
Jeff chuckled.
Those rose colors were spotted on her cheeks looking away from him drinking down the liquor slowly but fast enough to empty it. A short release of a sigh "what you have there?"
He himself now felt the heat but managed to keep his emotions under control, picked up his drink with the middle and thumbs "This might be a little strong for you". She only giggled at his remark and asked again, softly. He shrugged "Knights' Night"
With the smallest effort the bartender gave them both his drink. Jeff knew this was going to be a long night if he didn't skew up first.
"Quinn Schon," hand extended to him waiting for it to be grabbed. When he didn't take it she pressed on "and you are?" a brow rouse.
A moment past then he said it through clutched teeth "Earl".
Earl he had said. But he was not an Earl she could tell.
His jet black hair a massive mess bit was a bit long, eyes a shutter of beast and wildness shined in his eyes like they have seem every outcome of this damned world for it waits to swallow you whole not leaving one trace of your existents. Lips the slit cut of sharp knives, strong bold shoulder underneath his black suit and even long legs that where covered by those dress pants and buckle- her type.
"You by yourself?" he slowly drank his liquor not leaving his gaze off her.
Quinn looked behind her. The beautiful, young, sister giggling as the stripping handsome young man kisses her slim neck while drinking the wine. Another young man paid for the bill giving a nod good bye to her. She looked back at Earl who had scythe for her an icy feeling called to her heart.
His hand over hers leaning in closer and said softly "We could forget them",
Shaking her head looking back at the drink she had not temped to sip a cord of guilt rested in her heart. She moved her hand out of his grip still not looking at him and said "No I think it's time for me to go back now" with that she paid for the bill and waved good bye to her sister leaving Earl with multiple questions.
Mr. Dolton gave his lesson giving many in his class the result of advance math of a rocket mathematic. His low tone tan and high class suit gave away that he knows too much and also too little in our time.
A young girl came in with the rough looking dressing of a hood and black jeans coming closer to the old man and then looked out in no particular direction calling out "Miss Schon please head to the head masters office"
Standing to my feet asked no questions and moved down the stars leaving everyone to gossip. Even if I asked they would get sustentions of me. It was never my intention to go straight to the office and never just skip the summing but it was a student's job to be respectful to your elders if you want the same with them.
Opening the door the headmaster grinned in a warming but cunning smile which was a really bad thing with a man like him to do the same. He gestured to the only chair that stood in front of his wooden desk full with documents and the room was plain dark. The office had a dark design to it as the drapes were not open but closed with two chairs that could have been hand made.
"I'm very sorry to waste your time. Please sit I need to ask you something real quickly if you may?" setting his hands together making himself bigger and with a twisted smile he counted "See we looked at you grades and are wondering whether or not we should held you back or let you move on"
Quinn's heart stopped she couldn't answer him.
He planted a few papers down handing the to her giving a very cunning smile "It's nothing bad just you have a very high grade in this school and I thank you for that." His voice deepened like a growl "I need you to watch over someone now enrolled here."
A knock came to the door and with no use in asking the figure came in. Quinn's breath was taken away for this man was the guy she saw last night but his position has changed difficult to say. The way he looked then form now has no expiation.
"Mr. Cold pleases." The gesture to the chair gave Earl the look of disgust as he did the headmaster lifted himself up walking right behind them clearing his throat one more time then said "Mr. Cold here is a very difficult man and I can't trust anyone else with this mission Miss Schon. I like to leave him in your derestriction as a safe haven. "
"Headmaster I-"
"I don't need a babysitter you bastard I can take care of myself!" Earl's voice raw with rage frightens both of them but mostly Quinn. In protest he folded his arms the continued "I know how to fight eight to twelve guys at a time. And now you're putting me off with a girl to her 'derestriction'?" he laughed the last word.
"Silence! You maggot or I'll cut off that tongue of yours!" the headmaster roared.
Quinn cleared her throat seeing it might let them know she was still in the room with them. When both eyes were on her she yawned "Well if this is to make one man hate me and the other be in my duet then I'll do it."
