(Mer (Zuko)POV)
The sound of thunder struck through the water.
My sister woke me up because of the storm it was the perfect and most dangerous time to hunt,
I pulled myself up from the trench "where are you  going?" My friend said in a rough voice from being woken up, " hunting, there's a storm." I replied I knew he couldn't come because of a shark attack a few days ago, " ok." He said with little emotion as he let his head fall down and fall sleep.

It's been a while me and my sister split up to cover more ground to see if we can get more food because who knows when there'll be another storm.

Snook, a big one to, it Swam a few feet up from me, I should go after it, it would last us at least 3 days tops.
It went Straight up, when it realized I was there hunting it, it swam really fast, it went towards the surface, it was risky, but it could feed us for a few days but the closer to the surface meant stronger and more frequent currents to get trapped in, but I kept going.... higher and higher, and closer and closer I could also grab it we needed food,
I felt a strong force hit my side, but I had to keep going, I pushed myself further to the surface and again that time sucking me into a current.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!

I couldn't break out of it, it pulled me closer and closer to land and I was getting slammed into rocks and coral cutting the webbing on my fins.
My vision was getting blurry from being hit in the head, I was getting closer to another rock this one was pointed and looked.... I struggled to move my body going numb.

The burning feeling was sickening as it dug into the side of my tail,I'm not sure how long or how deep it was but it felt bad, really bad.

The current continued to pull me along, and right by an opening to maybe a cave or a small hole I could hide in.

I grabbed onto it with all the power I had left in me and pulled myself in.

I carefully swam up the narrow tunnel into a somewhat large cave there was some human stuff that must have floated in because there was another opening that was connected to the surface land. I laid myself down to rest, my body burned and I could barely keep moving. I just need... tooo.......... rest.

The water began to lower as the storm must have ended, I couldn't move I hurt to much I just.. need to rest a little bit more..... I.. I... I needed to restore my energy and strength so I could go home.... I... I..... I'm going to die here.
