"I'm almost there....... yeah yeah yeah I know al-....... ok ok *sigh*." I hung up my phone as I walked to the the cave where I hung out with my friends sometimes, I am going to go check on it because of the storm it was pretty bad and I had a feeling a lot of are stuff inside would be ruined.

I ducked my head down walking inside to see the damage, I walk forward slowly as I grabbed my flashlight form my bag and I stepped on something rubbery and ice cold. Turning on the light and pointing it down at was under my foot.

blood was everywhere I was stepping on a much larger version of a fish's tail and quickly got my foot off, I moved the light further up the scaly tail, I very quickly found the source of all of the blood as a very deep and long gash traveled up its left side, as I continued to move up the tail witch seemed to be at least 5'4 feet long the scales seemed to fade perfectly with skin, traveling up more to gain more understanding, it was NOT a fish but some kind of mermaid they laid on their underside making very quite whimpers I didn't hear before.

They look at me with pleading eyes asking me to end their misery, I knew I had to help but My mind went blank. they made a louder whimpering noise that kinda sounded like a dolphin.
I walked closer further up their body carefully, not trying to step on them.

They didn't even try to fight me when I reached out my hand move them on there right side so I could see if they had any injuries on there underside. Which they did but nothing to serious. I was more considered when they didn't react. But even more considered with the gash on their side, how could I help them, it definitely needed stitches it looked really deep.

I needed to find my sewing kit that I kept in my car, it wasn't the best thing to use to stitch up an injury like that but it was the only thing I had that could stop the bleeding, and also grabbed a few bottles of water to clean it out.
Digging around inside my car frantically looking for it, I found it under a box and grabbed the bottles from the front and stuffed it in my bag as I ran back to the cave hoping he was still alive.
