Tsunami's POV

Tsunami woke up to the beeping of her alarm clock. She groaned and turned it off. She kicked off the sheets and stood up, running her fingers through her long, wavy blue hair. She sighed at the sight of her wardrobe: Almost all dresses and formal attire that her mom made her wear pretty much everywhere. She picked out a deep blue crop top and light blue skinny jeans along with her favorite pair of black combat boots. She pulled on a matching denim jacket. Tsunami sat at the vanity and applied a bit of makeup. She didn't really care how she looked as much as a lot of the other girls her age did. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and put on the pearl jewelry that her mother had gotten her for her birthday.

As she finished getting ready, she headed downstairs for breakfast. Her siblings, Anemone, Turtle, and Auklet were already seated in the dining room with a huge array of breakfast things on the table. The chefs were pretty good at making their favorite foods. Tsunami sat down beside her mother, Coral, who happened to be a world famous author, and her father, Gill, who was a decorated ambassador.  Together they owned a company called Summer Palace Publishing. Tsunami was the sole heir, so she would own the company when her parents retired.

"Hi 'Nami!" Auklet said happily. Tsunami took a bite of the crepe (for those of you who don't know a crepe is a French burrito type thing but with fruit and other sweet stuff)that the chefs had prepared for her. "Morning, Aukie." Auklet was five, and starting kindergarten this year. Anemone was starting sixth grade, while Turtle was in seventh. Tsunami was back in high school, senior year to be exact.

She was excited to see her friends again. She knew her siblings would do fine and they would both make a lot of friends. Tsunami had just stuck with her usual five since they went to day care before they were old enough to start school. Tsunami hadn't gotten to go there much when she was little because she had the manor's staff to take care of her until she was four. Coral was extraordinarily overprotective while Gill was more calm and usually let his kids do their own thing as long as no one got into any serious trouble. He was usually "the fun one".

Coral looked up from her laptop. "Honey, some advertising company wants to promote us for a fee. Should we accept?" Gill folded his newspaper. "I guess so. After all, there's no such thing as bad publicity." Auklet cocked her head. "What's that mean, daddy?" She asked.

Tsunami checked her phone. 7:30. She still had a little time before school. She texted her friends.

TsunArmy: Morning, headed to school soon. first I'm gonna stop by the Boutique and get something for Anemone's birthday.

QueenOfSass: Oh my gosh! Going to school? On a school day? I never would have guessed!

SunnyDay: Be nice, Glory!

Starflight123: I am on my way to school as well.

I_Want_A_Burrito: Me too, after I get my tenth piece of bacon.

Tsunami sighed and made her way to the grand entrance to the mansion. She grabbed her black crossbody bag. "Bye Anemone! Bye Turtle!" She called. She shut the tall door as she slipped on her sunglasses and found the limo parked in the driveway in front of the huge fountain. She got in and told the chauffeur to take her to The Boutique. That was Anemone's favorite place to shop. The sisters came almost every week to see what they had. They usually just browsed and didn't actually buy anything.

When they arrived, she got out of the car and hurried inside. Good thing the school was just across from this store, she only had fifteen minutes left. She walked over to the jewelry section and within minutes found what she was looking for. It was a pale pink and blue shell necklace with tiny pearls on the string. She brought it to the desk and paid for it, then walked back out to the car. She dismissed the driver and crossed the street to her school, Phyrria High.
