Cha Min Hae

When I arrived home, the head ache was the worst I have experienced. It was like digging a whole into my head.
None of the pain killers I bought from the pharmacy worked anymore,so I just decided to sleep and set an alarm to wake me up half an hour before the appointment.
As I reached the bedroom, I plopped down on my bed and dozed to slumber.
"Ma, where are you going? Make sure to buy a rice cake for me, ok?" The four year old girl requested as her mother was heading out the door.
"Yes sweetheart, I'll make sure of that." Her mother had tears in her eyes, but the young girl didn't bother as she was playing with her dolls.
Her mother kissed her cheek and left. What she didn't notice was luggage owned by her mother were carried out the house and put into a truck.
Her aunts brought her to a room upstairs and continued to distract her from what's going on outside.
She didn't notice anything, until a few weeks later she sensed that something was going on and her mother haven't gone home yet.
"Auntie, where's ma? She told me she'd buy me rice cake, but she isn't here." Little Min Hae asked her aunt.
"I'm sorry Min Hae, but I think I need to tell you this." Her aunt hesitantly said while cupping both Min Hae's cheeks.
She sighed, "You're mom is sick, very sick. And she needs medication. That's why she left. But, the doctor called earlier, saying that your ma is..." Her aunt sobbed, and broke down afterwards
"Auntie, ma is what?" A very confused Min Hae asked her aunt. Also confused why her aunt is crying. So, the little girl hugged her aunt.
"Min Hae, your ma is gone. She didn't make it." She sobbed louder.
"No, that's not true. No... No... No. Ma, don't leave me." She screamed as she cried.
"Ma, don't leave me. Ma, don't." I woke up, breathing heavily.
I checked the time on my phone and saw that I was already late for the appointment. So, I didn't bother changing my clothes anymore.
I got my bag, wore my shoes and grabbed my keys.
I drove off to the address given to me by the doctor's secretary.
