Chapter 4: Text Messages

Luke's POV

       I'm super happy today. So I'm skipping down the halls like an idiot. Then I see Harry and Louis sitting close and I see beside them is Michael and Calum. I see that over the past few weeks Michael and Calum are spending allot of time together. So I think they have something going on. But the thing is I don't see me fiance anywhere. So I walk up to the 4 and sit down at the table.

"Hey guys have you seen Ash today?" I asked and Harry looked at me like he was going to answer and then Louis answered for him.

"He texted me this morning and said he was sick and can't come to school today." Louis said with a frown.

"But at least you've got us right Luke?" Michael said with a smile.

"Of course Mikey. Why are you so happy today?" I asked curiously.

"Well...um...no reason." He said looking at the floor. Then Calum's smile turned into a frown. He got up and walked off.

"Cal! Cal come back please!" Michael shouted but Calum was already gone.

"So did Ash tell you guys the news?" I asked happily.

"What news?" Harry asked.

"Ashton and I are getting married!" I said. Louis,Harry,and Michael all gave me a hug.

"That's amazing Luke!" Louis said.

"I'm really happy for you man." Michael said.

"I knew you 2 were perfect for each-other!" Harry said. The weird part is that I feel closer to Michael right now instead of Louis and Harry. I guess he and Calum remind me of what I went through with Ashton. Anyways after school I swung by Ashton's house. I knocked on the door. He's mom answered.

"Luke it's good to see you. You know where Ashton's room is. Right now he's in the shower. But you can wait on his bed for him. He'll be a nice surprise for him. He's been throwing up all day long. He told me about you 2 being engaged and I can't be happier. Now I'm going to stop talking and let you go." She said then gave me a hug and I went upstairs. I sat on Ashton's bed and saw his phone and wanted to see if he got my texts. He did but I couldn't help but read what he and Calum where talking about.

From Calum:
    Michael told me the news about u and Luke. Congrats! Have you told him the other news yet?

 From Ashton:     No Cal. I haven't seen him. I haven't even married the guy yet and I've already screwed up everything! What am I going to do Cal?

   From Calum:
        The only thing I can say is tell him the next time you see him and hope it goes well. I'd hate to see you 2 break-up over this.

     From Ashton:
        Since I already told you,Michael,Louis,and Harry before I told him I'm pretty sure he's going to be furious.

   From Calum:           Sorry I got to go. I'll talk to you later. Tell me how it goes with Luke. Bye.

     From Ashton:
             Ok. I just hope it goes well bye.

    After that I could help but question everything. What is he hiding from me? Why does he think it's so bad that everything we have that I would just let him go? We've been together for 1 year. He should know he can tell me anything. Then after that I heard the water stop running. Then Ashton stepped out of the bathroom in a t-shirt and shorts. His hair is soaking wet.

"Luke babe what are you doing here? I'm so happy to see you." He said then tackled me on the bed. Then we sat up.

"Are you hiding something from me?" I asked.

"Um....No....I'm mean....Yes......Ugh it's a yes." He said putting his head down.

"Babe whatever it is you can tell me. What is it? What's your big secret?" I asked looking him in the eyes.

"Luke...I'm-I'm-I'm pregnant."
