"Alright, just send me the details. Thanks," I muttered before quickly hanging up and tossing my phone onto the bed with irritation.

I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration, the strands tangling as I sat down heavily on the edge of the mattress.

I'm so messed up right now. Can someone please explain to me why I'm still here? If it weren't for my sister, I would've left a long time ago. There's no way I would willingly stay in this place with that beast.

I search for something to cook, not minding his presence.

"What the hell are you staring at, Frost?" I snapped, my voice sharp with annoyance.

"You've really changed a lot," he replied calmly.

I nearly dropped my spoon, my gaze snapping up to meet his. He smirked, the corner of his lips curling into a small, knowing smile.

My lips formed an 'o' as I watched him walk out of the kitchen. Damn annoying beast. I just shook my head and continued eating, ignoring the irritation bubbling inside me. After finishing, I washed my dishes and went back to my room to brush my teeth. Thankfully, we didn't cross paths again for the rest of the evening.

I chose to stay in my room, focused on finishing my homework, when the sound of an engine outside caught my attention. Curiosity tugged at me, and I stood up from my chair, moving to the glass window. I gently parted the curtains, squinting as the harsh sunlight hit my face. Blinking against the brightness, my eyes adjusted, and I could now clearly see her—the same girl I saw with Gideon at the restaurant.

My heart clenched as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the lips. A wave of fury surged through me, and I couldn't even understand why I was reacting this way. My hand gripped the curtain tightly, nails digging into the fabric as my breathing grew ragged. I yanked the curtain shut with such force that it nearly tore.

F**king Frost! How could you do this!?

I gritted my teeth as I sank back into my chair, the anger swirling inside me almost unbearable. I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror beside me, and the sight of my own bloodshot, furious eyes made my stomach churn. The rage was evident, burning bright behind the red.

I let out a heavy sigh, my focus snapping to the pencil in my hand as I heard the crack of it breaking under my grip. I threw it onto the study table and slammed my hand down on the surface in frustration, the sound echoing through the room. I shot up from my seat, pacing back and forth, running my fingers through my hair in frustration.

This is bullshit! I shouldn't be feeling like this. No, Kaia, remember—he hurt you once, and he'll do it all over again. This is his plan. That beast blackmailed me, and now he's using me to carry out his twisted game.

He really planned to use the bond against me. I am now his mate again and that was the most fvcking bullshit I could ever think about.
