"Uhmm..."
A low groan escaped me as a sharp, pounding headache settled in. Damn it. I reached out blindly, fumbling around for my phone, but my heart nearly jumped out of my chest when my fingers brushed against something firm—definitely not my phone.
Eyes snapping open, I shot up, heart racing, and turned to see who—or what—I'd just touched. My breath hitched. There, staring right at me with those cold, piercing eyes, was someone all too familiar. My mind screamed to panic, but I was too frozen to even blink.
"What the fuck?! Why are you fucking here devil?!"His brows furrowed as he pushed himself off my bed, moving with an irritated edge. He grabbed his shirt in one swift motion, pulling it over his head. I couldn't help but swallow hard as I caught a glimpse of his muscles flexing while he got dressed. Damn, that shouldn't have been as distracting as it was. I sighed as I look back at Gideon who is now busy on his phone.
"You brought me here." It's not a question cause obviously, he did.
"Farah..."
I went rigid at the sound of her name—not because he was talking, but because that was the name he uttered. Farah. That was probably the name of the girl he was with yesterday. My chest tightened, a sick feeling churning in my gut. I stayed still, barely breathing, trying to process the sudden wave of unease that hit me.
"Yeah, I'm at someone's place," he continued, his voice calm, casual, like nothing was out of the ordinary. "I'll be home soon. Just wait for me."
Each word felt like a punch, twisting the knot in my stomach tighter. I could feel my pulse racing, but I kept my face neutral, refusing to let the tension boiling inside me show. He was just a few feet away, completely oblivious to the storm he'd just stirred up in my head. Every fiber of my being screamed for me to say something, demand answers, but I bit my tongue and stared ahead, pretending none of it bothered me.
"Yes, okay. Take care. Bye."
I joked. Kahit na mukhang seryoso ang pagkakasabi ko. Pinasadahan niya ako ng tingin at umiling.
"You disgust me. I can't even imagine having an intimate scene with you. You're not even my type." His words cut deep, cold and final, before he stood up abruptly, eyes locking onto me with an intensity that made me grit my teeth. I frowned, my gaze shifting to something unusual—there was a dark, reddish-brown stain on the sleeve of his shirt. Blood?
Without thinking, I stepped closer, instinctively reaching out to touch it, but before my fingers could graze the fabric, he grabbed my wrist with a force that made me flinch. In one swift motion, he shoved my hand away and took a step back, putting distance between us, his expression unreadable, guarded.
"Is that a blood?"
"It smells like one. Is that..." I can tell that I saw it, I already did.
At my car!
"Sabihin mo nga sa 'kin kung anong nangyari kagabi?" With a raised brow, I commanded him sharply. His face suddenly went blank, void of any emotion, as he turned and started walking out of my room. But before he could leave, I grabbed his arm and yanked him back.
