The Love Project -Completed-

Chapter one

'You're insecure, don't know what for' My alarm clock rang. Since it is a radio, it plays whatever is on. So of course. This is on.

"UGH!" I screamed slamming my fist into it. I stomped out of my bed and walked to the bathroom. Luckily, it wasn't occupied by my annoying brother.

"Gross." I muttered while looking into the mirror. I slammed the door behind me and walked back to my room. I can already tell this is going to be a bad day because I will be angry by the way I woke up.

"Guess who will be at Lake View High School today!" Oh fuck. "ONE DIRECTION!" The loud lady on the radio screamed. No wonder they played that crap. I walked over to my closet and pulled out some black skinny jeans, hot pink TOMS and a hot pink shirt. 

I walked over to the bathroom dragging my feet on the floor. Of course my damn brother is in there.

"JORDAN GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM NOW OR I SWEAR I WILL THROW YOU OUT A WINDOW!"  I screamed through the door.

"CHILL OUT KATE!" He screamed back. Its not like he needs to do makeup so why take so long in the bathroom? 

"DON'T FREAKING CALL ME KATE! IF YOU CALL MY KATE AGAIN I WILL PUSH YOU IN FRONT OF A BUS!" I yelled through gritted teeth.  "KATE IS A FRIEND THING! YOU WILL NEVER BE CLOSE TO A FRIEND! NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A BROTHER! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!" I screamed at him. 

Yes I hate my own brother THIS much. What he did will never be forgiven. It was on my 10th birthday.

FLASH BACK

"Kate! Maya! Go into the bounce house!" Jordan screamed at us.

"Okay!" We both screamed back, and linked arms. We skipped over to the bounce house and pulled off our shoes.  We unlinked arms and raced to the bounce house.

"I WIN!" Maya yelled as she jumped around in the bounce castle. I started pouting and sat at the table.

"AAAAAAAAH!" I heard Maya scream from the bounce house.I looked over towards it, and noticed it was deflating- fast. Jordan was standing there with a knife where there is a big whole.

"JORDAN WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I screamed running towards the bounce castle. I pushed Jordan- HARD out of the way.

"MAYA!" I screamed. She was the only one in the bounce house. She was laying on the ground because the whole thing deflated. Her head was banged all up and there was blood everywhere. I slumped down to the ground.

"Maya........ M-Maya...." I said tears flushing down my cheeks.

10 MINUTES LATER

Sitting in a freezing cold ambulance holding Maya's motionless hand, with her mom on the other side, is not a fun situation.

"Ms.Sanchez, Is she going to be okay?" I said looking down at Maya's breathless face.

"I hope so, Katie." She said her eyes filling up with tears. A loud beep filled the room.

"DOCTOR, SOMEONE, WHOEVER." I screamed. Three nurses came running in with clip boards. I pointed over to the area the beep came from.

"Th-that means shes... O-okay right?" I said helplessly. Maya's mom was already crying her head off. I know somethings wrong.

"I'm afraid not Kaitlyn, your friend.. Maya.. Shes gone." The nurse said pulling out tubes from Maya's body.

"When will she be back?" I asked letting go of Maya's hand.

"GOD DAMMIT KATE SHUT UP! SHES GONE! SHES DEAD! SHE BLED TO DEATH OKAY?! SHES NEVER COMING BACK!" Her mom screamed at me. At that exact moment tears started streaming down my cheeks. That's the first time Maya's mom ever screamed at me. Also the first time, I ever lost someone.

For the next three years, I cried my self to sleep. I had to go to some classes to help me get a grasp on life. They never worked. And never, I never talked to my brother, he tried apologizing, pleading, begging. Everything. I never talked to him. I HATE him more than anything.
