Chapter 2: My New Home

(This is Hunter)

We walked to Hunters house, I couldn't believe that an old friend,  That i couldn't even remember, is going to let me stay with him. Let alone, someone who looked as nice as him. I looked up at him. his bright blonde hair looked so neat. His emerald green eyes.. i felt like i could stare into them forever. something feels very familiar about him. and I wish I could remember. 

Hunter felt my eyes on him, im sure. he turned to look at me with a friendly smile. "Do you need something Alice?" 
I felt like i was blushing. I looked away. "Sorry, just- something feels really familiar about you. i wish i could remember.." I let out a soft sigh.
He chuckled softly and patted my head. "Don't worry about it. sooner or later you'll remember, i'm sure." 
I looked back at him and smiled. "Thank you. Seriously, i really appreciate it." Right as i finished saying that and he looked like he was going to say something a voice called out. "Hunter?! Is that you?" 
He sighed before he replied. "Yes ma, its me" He grabbed my hand and led me to his house, he held the door open for me. i was surprised when he grabbed my hand. his hands were so soft, yet at the same time, rough. I went along with him to his house and walked in, taking off my shoes after I was in. he shut the door behind me after he went in and he took off his shoes and then hanged his jacket on the coat rack, he turned to look at me. "Can I take your coat?" I was hesitant but nodded, I unzipped  it and started taking it off when he gently grabbed it the rest of the way and hanged it up. As he did that a lady walked downstairs, when she saw me she looked at Hunter. "Wow! you didnt tell me it was Alice!" she rushed over and pulled me into a hug. "I'm so sorry for your loss. it must be extremely hard." I smiled slightly, as my eyes teared up and i hugged her back. as she had hugged me Hunter had looked at her. "Ma, she doesnt remember much except for anything within the last 3 months." I felt her grip loosen "What do you mean, does she not remember when you two-" He cut her off. "MA! No! she doesn't remember!" 
I looked confused. "When we what?" Hunter looked away. "Are you hungry Alice?" His mother asked. I could tell they were avoiding the question. I didn't know why. but I nodded. "Yes, very. thank you both for letting me stay here for the night." His mother shook her head "It's no problem, you can stay here as long as you want, I heard you were homeless, right?" I nodded. "Yeah.." Hunter headed upstairs. "I'm going to my room." I looked after him and started to walk after him when his mother grabbed my arm. "Alice, you look like you could use a shower. Upstairs the first room on the left is my room, help yourself to any clean clothes. The bathroom is across the hall from my room, Ashers room is across from Hunters, thats where you'll sleep." 
I smiled and nodded, its been forever since i've showered in a real shower. "Thank you!" I then went upstairs and went into her room, grabbing a pair of clothes that looked like it could possibly fit me. then i headed off to the bathroom and turned on the water. i got in the shower and flinched at the cool water raining down my back. I turned the water dial so it was warmer and i smiled, it felt so nice. I started to wash up, I hoped it was okay if i used their soap. They were being so nice to me.. Also.. what did his mom mean when she said 'So she doesn't remember when you two-' when we what? I wish i knew. after i finished washing up i got out of the shower and grabbed a towel, starting to dry off and get dressed. I looked in the mirror, his mothers clothes looked kinda nice on me, but were a bit big. as i walked out of the bathroom, i realized she didn't tell me which room was Ashers. whoever that was, i peeked in one of the doors and saw Hunter laying down on his bed, an arm over his face. I stared at him for a minute, thinking, i went to Ashers room and put my dirty clothes down and then went back to Hunters door, i knocked lightly. "Hey, Hunter? Can I come in?" There was a bit of rustling before he answered. "Yeah, come on in Alice" I smiled and I walked in, he was sitting up on his bed, his hands resting to the right and left of him. he patted to the right of him. "Come, sit down" He smiled. I walked over and sat next to him. "How are you doing?" I asked, not really sure what else to say. He chuckled and patted my head. "I'm alright, thanks for asking. What about you?" I smiled. "Im much better, im really thankful for you and your mother!" Hunter pulled me into a hug, my heart skipped a beat and i hugged him back. "I missed you so much Alice, I was scared I had lost you forever.." He placed his hand on my cheek, he looked like he was about to cry. I was confused, but leaned my head into his hand. "If.. if i'd remember, im sure i missed you too Hunter. you're really sweet." I smiled softly. I swear i saw him blush a little. "Hey Hunter, when your mom said.. I dont remember when we.. what was it that you cut her off from saying?" He sighed and looked away. "Guess it cant be avoided, huh? Well.. we used to date." When he said that I froze, I suddenly got a extremely bad headache and blacked out. I felt memories rushing into my head. 

A teenage girl, she looks like me. when I was in 8th grade, I was running through the fields with Hunter his hair was longer, he looked younger, but besides that, he looked the same. we were laughing together and we fell on the ground, staring up at the sky. he reached over and grabbed my hand and I got closer to him. suddenly we heard my name being called. "Coming!!" I called with a smile, I looked at Hunter. "Guess i have to go home, I'll see you later Hunter?" I kissed his cheek and he smiled. "Of course Alice, I should get back to Ma anyways." He stood up and offered his hand towards me to help me up. I grabbed it and he pulled me up, and into a tight hug. "Stay safe" I hugged back. "You know I will, you too." I was walking back home, and then...  

It ended. the only memory of my past so far. I looked at Hunter, he looked worriedly at me. "Are you okay?" I nodded slightly, and hugged him tightly. "I remember a little... in the fields. thats all I remember." He hugged me back and sighed. "That was the last time I saw you." I was slightly shocked, that didnt make sense, if i was leaving anywhere.. i'd say so. I looked up at him and blushed slightly. he looked so different now.
