Chapter 9: Shakes

We sat down at the small shake cafe. I looked around, It seemed familiar so I guess I had been here before. I grabbed the menu, there wasn't a lot of options. Hunter was sitting across from me and Jess ws next to me. Jess snatched the menu out of my hand. "Hey-!"
"I'm paying so I'm picking what you get!" she chuckled.
Hunter held his menu tighter. "Mine" He did a slight hiss and I giggled.
"You order whatever you want" She stuck her tongue out at him.
I pouted. "No faiirrr"
She laughed. "Trust me, you'll be glad that I order you this."
I sighed. "Alright, Well i'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll be back"
I got up and went to the bathroom. I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Look at how far you've come. You can keep it up. Just remember to breathe" I took a few deep breaths. I haven't had this much social interactions in awhile. I smiled and started to walk back out of the bathroom. While I was walking back out I bumped into Jess.
"Sorry!" we both said at the same time.
I chuckled. "Are you alright?"
She nodded. "Are you?"

"Mhm. I'll meet you at the table" I started to walk back out when she grabbed my arm.
"Wait I want to ask you something real quick"
"Hm?" I turned to face her.
"Do you want to stay at my place tonight?" She seemed almost nervous asking that.

I smiled. "Sure, I'll go tell Hunter, see you in a bit" I walked out and saw Hunter sitting at the table, he was on his phone. I went over and peeked over his shoulder. "Whatcha doing?" He jumped slightly. "Jeezus Alice don't scare me like that-" I giggled and sat next to him. "You okay you big baby?" He smiled. "Oh shush you" I leaned on his shoulder. "Nah, Anyways tonight I'm going to stay at Jessicas' if thats okay." I felt his head turn to look at me. "Alright" He turned his head back to his phone but leaned his head slightly on mine. I smiled. A few minutes later Jess came back out, I sat up straight. "What took you so long?" I joked. She chuckled. "Uh i took like less than 5 minutes, so shush you"The waiter came up and gave us our shakes. He stared at me for a second, murmured something, and walked away. I tilted my head. "Did I know him?" Jess and Hunter looked over at me. "Hm?" I guess they didn't notice it. I shrugged it off. "Nevermind, Which Shake is mine?" Jess put one in front of me, It was strawberry colored with what seems to be oreo chunks in it. There's whipped cream and a chocolate covered strawberry on top. "What flavor is this?" I asked. "Yours" Jess answered with a small smile. "You had made your own a long time ago, Lots of people actually love it" She statted. I looked at it and took a spoonful. It was like fireworks in my mouth. It was the best thing i'd ever tasted. Strawberry, Oreo, Chocolate, it was so good. Hunter laughed. "Nice, a second chance to get that face on picture and I got it" I didnt even care, I looked at both of them, Excitement in my eyes. "Its so good!!!!!"
Jess laughed. "Of course it is"
