I don't own RWBY, Bakugan, Infinity Blade, any franchise that I might include, or any of the characters associated with those respective franchises. They all belong to their respective owners, except for my OC's. You belong to you.
3rd Person POV:
Gazing down from Salem's fortress, Emerald and Mercury watched with disgust and horror as all types of Grimm crawled their way out of the tar-like pools surrounding the castle, wandering off into the crystal-marred land. They were brought back into the present when they heard fingers snap behind them, the two walking back to the table. Around the table of crystal, six were seated, waiting for their benefactor. The first, Arthur Watts, looked through his scroll for any activity while Professor Clay organized his report beside his compatriot. Tyrian Callows waited for his mistress, gazing around the table with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Barodius merely stared ahead, Hydron standing alongside Jin Darth behind their king. On the other side of the table, Hazel Reinhardt rested his eyes and patiently ignored the others. The last, Cinder Fall, wasn't who she was before the Fall of Beacon. Instead of the woman glowing with power and charisma she used to be, she now watched them all with a single eye, the other covered by a mask. A scar now marred her stunning beauty, her once long hair now cut back into the style she had before Beacon, but the fire in her eye survived still. She glanced back as her companions walked up beside her, Emerald nudging Mercury aside so that she could stand beside the Fall Maiden.
Watts: Yes, yes, please keep your... posse in check.
Mercury growled and started to move towards the older man, but Emerald stopped him cold.
Watts: You hear that? Silence. I have half a mind to thank the little girl that bested you.
Clay: Must you always instigate these arguments, Arthur?
Arthur: Surely, you don't mind if I lost my faith in the one who lost to a child.
Tyrian: If I were you, I'd hunt her down. Find her and... well, she took your eye, didn't she?
Cinder only watched as Tyrian devolved into insane laughter, Hydron shifting uncomfortably in his spot beside the assassin. Once he had quieted down, Cinder tried to speak, but all that came from her mouth were hoarse grunts and whimpers. Closing her eye in annoyance, she turned to Emerald, who leaned down and listened carefully as Cinder softly spoke to her.
Watts: Pathetic. Why did you even-?
He was interrupted by the doors unlocking, all six of them standing from their seats as they slowly opened. Salem stepped through, her crimson gaze looking over them all as she slowly moved around the table. Clay felt chills run down his back when she disappeared behind him, lightly breathing in relief when he saw her reappear on the other side. Walking past Hazel, Salem stood by the windows for a moment before finally speaking.
Salem: Watts.
The doctor's eyes widened at the sound of his name, looking to Salem as she turned to them all with her eyes focused on him.
Salem: Do you find such malignance necessary?
Motioning to the others to sit down, Salem walked closer to the table as Arthur explained.
Watts: I apologize, ma'am. I'm not particularly fond of failure.
Salem: (sits) Then I see no reason for your cruelty towards young Cinder. She's become our Fall Maiden, destroyed Beacon Tower, and most importantly, killed dear Ozpin. So, I'm curious. To what "failures" are you referring?
Watts: Well... the girl with the silver eyes.
Hazel: Yes. We've dealt with her kind before. How is it a novice was able to best one of us?
