I don't own RWBY, Bakugan, Infinity Blade, any franchise that I might include, or any of the characters associated with any of those respective franchises. They all belong to their respective owners, except for my OC's. You belong to you.
Author Note: Honestly, I'm not sure how many people will actually like this chapter. I'm sorry for taking so long to publish again, but with the fires over in California and Oregon... I have family there and I've been worried about them for a while now. I only recently heard from them.
Y/N's POV:
Y/N groaned as he felt pain stinging him along his muscles, opening his eye only to immediately close it again, the light above him almost blinding the swordsman for a moment. Blinking a few times, he grasped at the wet grass between his fingers before he tried to sit up, noticing early on that the only things covering his chest were bandages. A boy around his age ran into his vision and gently grasped his shoulders in an effort to hold him down. His spiked hair was a shade of red bright than the shade in Ruby's hair and yellow highlights ran along in small strips. He had a red shirt under a black vest, a black rapier that reminded Y/N of Weiss's Myrtenaster sheathed by his gray pants. Dark green eyes met his and a small smile appeared on the kid's face.
???: Whoa, wait a minute, buddy. You took a beating last night. You need rest.
Y/N: Let me up.
???: Come on, don't be that g-
Y/N: Let. Me. Up.
The stranger cursed under his breath and helped Y/N sit up, the swordsman hissing through his teeth when he felt the painful aches from the right side of his ribs. His eye darted to where his jacket and shotguns lay, but the stranger caught the look with a sigh.
???: Okay, I get that, but it's pretty rude. No shooting until after 7, okay? That's like... a universal rule. Well, it's more like no loud noises until after 7, but you get the idea. So, maybe you could tell me your name?
Y/N just kept silent, his one eye not moving or even blinking as the stranger chuckled nervously.
Sam: Okay, fair enough. Me first. My name is Sam Scorn and yes, I know. Not the friendliest name. Not like a "Williams" or a "Greene", but it is mine. Now, as common courtesy suggests, it's your turn.
Y/N:... (sighs) Y/N Rose.
Sam: Nice to meet you, Y/N. Well, we got that out of the way. Fabia would be so proud of me.
Y/N: Fabia?
Sam: You'll meet her. She is actually the reason you're not just a pile of meat right now. Well, I'm the guy that saved you from those good-for-nothing Banshees, but she's the reason you were able to wake up in the first place.
Y/N: Wait... you... that was you last night?
Y/N stopped for a moment, thinking back to that moment in the forest and cursing himself for being so naive. That cloak had just seemed so similar to Summer's in that light, he had simply dared to hope... hope that she had come back.
Sam: Yeah, it was. Used a custom flare for that, but it seemed like you needed it more than we did at the moment. Still, that fight must've taken a lot out of you. You didn't even squirm when she was looking you over.
Y/N: Really?
Sam: Yeah. I'm going to be honest; it looked pretty bad when we found you. I wasn't really sure if you were alive so I'm glad you proved me wrong there, champ.
Y/N: Oum.
???: It could've been worse. Though not by much.
Both Sam and Y/N turned to see a girl maybe a year older than both of them step out of the trees, her sea-blue hair shining in the sun's light while her piercing green eyes stared into his lone one. Resting in a sheath on her belt was what looked like a miniature ring blade with emerald trimmings around the edges and blades.
