*this a long chapter*
"Alright, that's enough for today. Let's go home and rest," Jongsu said, clasping his hands together.
"Finally!" Kangdae cheered. It was already a few minutes past two in the morning and we had just finished dance practice. We were all sprawled out on the floor, catching our breaths after dancing three songs without a break.
"Agh, I'm going to take a nice long shower when we get home," Nari declared, sitting up and massaging her arms.
"Yah, don't take too long, noona. We have to take a bath too, you know," Kangdae whined.
"Hyung, we all know you spend the most time in the bathroom," Haneul teased.
"You say that, and yet you take the longest time to get ready," Kangdae retorted. Haneul threw him a towel and stood. We laughed as we watched them chase each other around the studio.
"Yah, where do they even get the energy to run? I can't even move," Yejoon chuckled.
"Let them be, oppa. They'll sleep instantly when we get back to the dorm," Eunkyung said.
"Okay, let's clean up. PD-nim said we can have the weekend off so we could all get a proper rest," Jongsu announced which caught Kangdae and Haneul's attention. We all cheered. He started to put away the props that we used so we followed suit. We cleared away all the equipment and put all the plastic bottles into bins. We also changed our shirts and gathered our belongings before heading to the van. But I couldn't stop my eyelids from drooping as we walked down the stairs. I tripped accidentally and they all turned to me.
"Hwayoung? Are you okay?" Nari said.
"Nnn~" I nodded. "Just a little tired," I assured her, forcing a smile. But my head suddenly felt light and I started getting dizzy. I held on to the handrail tightly. My body ached all over.
"Yah, if you're sleepy, you can just say so," I heard Eunkyung say, a hint of worry in her tone.
"Here, Hwayoung. I'll carry you so hop on my back," Haneul cooed. He knelt with his back facing me.
"No, I'm okay, oppa. We're almost at the lobby anyway." I started walking past him but he insisted and ended up giving me a piggyback ride. I heard the other members giggle. I blushed furiously and buried my face on his neck.
"Sorry, oppa. I know you're tired too," I told him.
"It's okay, I still have some energy left."
"Thank you," I mumbled before sleep took over me.
[3rd person POV]
"Is she asleep?" Nari asked. Haneul nodded.
Yejoon laughed quietly. "I don't understand why she tries to hide it from us. Haneul's always there to carry her anyway."
"Maybe because she doesn't want us to worry, you know," Eunkyung replied, flickering his forehead. "But it's no wonder she's tired. She teaches the dances to us, too."
"I don't get it, why don't you let me hop on your back, Haneul?" Kangdae pouted, poking Haneul's arm. "Yah, Haneul-ah, I'm sleepy too. Can you carry me as well?"
"Stop it, hyung. You'll wake her," Haneul said with a smile on his face.
"I'm hurt. Hwayoung really is your favorite," Kangdae mock-cried.
"I don't have a favorite."
"Shhh, be quiet, Kangdae. Here, I'll carry you so stop talking," Jongsu teased, offering his back.
