The sun shining in my eyes, I open my eyes and squint. I take a look at my surroundings, Isaac's room. Isaac's sitting at his computer desk on Facebook I'm guessing. I glance at his clock, 10:47am.

"Isaac! We have school!" I say shooting up, a pain in my neck. I grunt at the pain that shoots up my neck.

"Just relax, I called it a day off for us" he spun his chair to face me. I sighed.

"Okay" I let out a huff, there's no point of fighting it's already done.

"What you wanna do today?" He asks while spinning on his chair.

"We could get ice cream" I smile, while licking my lips.

"Yeah okay, go get ready, you have ten minutes or I'm leaving without you" he says standing up and stretching.

"Okay" I mumble. I stand up on my feet and hobble up the stairs. When I reach my room I walk over to my closet and pull out a grey New York crop top with a grey and white flannel. I reach for white high waisted shorts. I slip the clothes on and head to the bathroom. I pull my hair out of the messy bun that's placed on my head and brush it out.
I grab the straightener that placed under my sink and turn it on. After it's heated up I run it through my hair a couple times and my hair is straight. I put some cover up, powder, mascara and eyeliner. I top off the look with a grey beanie that says 'Bad Hair Day'. I quickly brush my teeth and hear Isaac yell from downstairs.

"Let's go Tess!" he says banging on my door twice.

"Coming!" I yell grabbing my phone off the charger. I walk out the door, downstairs and put on my converse. I walk into the garage and into his car.

"You take forever" he rolls his eyes and drives along the road.

"I only took ten minutes!" I defend.

"Still" he says, eyes still on the road, I laugh at him.

"So where are you taking me?" I smile at him.

"Ice cream, that's what you wanted right?" He looked at me

"Yeah" I smile and nod. Isaac and I don't get to spend lots of time together so it's nice to get this, even if skipping school is the only way for it to happen.
After a good five minutes we pull up to Dairy Queen. I've always come, it's my favourite place.

"Let's go" he says swinging his keys around his finger. I get out and we walk into Dairy Queen, there's a mom in here with her daughter, who looks around three.

"You order first" he points to the cashier. I walk up to the lady standing at the cash register and a fake smile appears on her face.

"Hey, what can I get you?"

"I'll take a medium, cookie dough blizzard please" I say scanning the board. She types it in her register and Isaac goes next.

"I'll take a large, Oreo blizzard" he smiles at her and I roll my eyes.

"15.67 is your total" she smiles. Shit, I forgot my money.

"It's on me" he pulls out his wallet and hands her the amount of money. We wait for a minute and our ice creams are handed to us. We walk over to a empty table, which there are a lot of because there's only a mom and kid in here.

"So want to tell me why you changed everything?" He asked looking at his ice cream. I'm guessing he's referring to my clothes.

"People change, I don't want to be the grubby girl anymore" I shrugged my shoulders and took a bite of my ice cream.
