This is a story inspired by the fault in our stars. Quite different from the usual ones I review. This one is a tear jerker. It's painstakingly beautiful.

It's not mainly about a hot rich guy with a sweet poor girl. It goes beyond that. It's about past scars, how two beautiful but broken souls come together and find solace in each other.

Hunter was blinded by an accident, and somehow through it all, he lost the will to live, to be motivated by life. Alice was scarred by her parents. Her step father was a prisoner to substance abuse and sees her as a demon, monster. Her mother chose the hard way out by killing her husband, Alice's stepfather, and herself afterwards. This was every child's nightmare, and Alice was no different. It haunted her nights, while her scar from her abuse from her stepfather reminded her in the day. People around her seems to never let her forget that she is a child of a murderer and a druggie.

But somehow, these two met and they clicked. They understood each other's pain. Like candles burning in the dark, these two beautiful souls warmed and lighted up each other's life. Love came through as well. Hunter found his angel in her, and he is willing to go through the length of a transplant to see her again, to protect her. He wanted to give her the best.

She waited, and waited. Weeks, Months, Years.

Where was he?

During the wait, she met people who loved her for who she is, she found true friends. But there was this guy who wanted more with her. He was everything perfect, but her heart wants no one but Hunter.

Then when he came back, he was cold and unfeeling towards her, as if he has forgotten about her. It was painful. But circumstances forced them in situations together.

He came back as fast as he could to see her, but there she was in the arms of someone else. Was he replaced? Did he lose her already? After all, she didn't tell him her feelings yet right? What if..

These two struggled to get their feelings across.

It is an absolutely beautiful story if you are up for something touching. True love prevails they say. Fate has its way, and love will find a way through, no matter what.

Took me an hour to finish the book, and I couldn't help but immediately write a review on it. The author has outdone her/himself again. Amazing :)
