You guys make it to class with seconds to spare... the teacher is already doing role call. You both quickly scramble to your seats.
Jaden says, "Your fault." You sit nest to Addison and Dani, your bestfriends. Addison whispers to you " Why were you late?" You whisper back, " My alarm didn't go off."
Dani taps your shoulder and whispers, "Do you have any gum?" Jaden says "Dani... you know we aren't allowed to have gum, right?" You give Dani the pack of gum. Dani starts taking a few pieces as she whispers "Jaden... there are 2 ways to deal with rules. You either make the rules or break the rules. If I can't make them, I break them." She hands the practically empty package of gum back to you and you stick it in your backpack.
Then, the teacher clears his throat. He says " Class. I have something huge to tell you... so get quiet." Immediately, voices get quiet.
