Nao's POV:

I woke with a start, frowning, I looked around my room and let out a quiet sigh, staring at the walls of my room, I pulled off my grey duvet and stretched.  I headed out of my bedroom, heading for the bathroom which was just a few doors away from mine.

The Alpha Manor was quite large and housed the high ranking wolves ranking from our strongest warriors, our Delta, Beta, the Luna and the Alpha. There were four wings in the manor, the North wing, for the Alpha and Luna, the South for the Delta and warriors, the East held as a place for entertainment and finally the West held for our Betas.

Entering the bathroom, a shiver ran down my spine as my feet felt the cold tiles, Facing the mirror I brushed off my morning breath and ran cold water against my skin. Waking myself up completely I headed back to my room, careful not to tread on the creaking floorboard right outside the bathroom, to ensure not to wake my..mate..up.

My preferred mate as my parents likes to call him, the Alpha.

Who would want anything better?  I mean, he's sweet, very attractive, powerful, and protective. But he isn't my soulmate. I was only paired with him to unite my old pack with his, and truth be told, I hated it. Not the pack, they were amazing, but he..can be quite..intimidating and too controlling.

Back in my room, I open my closet and picked out my ripped shorts and a black tank top, followed by my white trainers knowing I didn't need much clothing for the training today.

I turned to the mirror hanging on my wall, and nodded in satisfaction, I tied the the strings of my trainers then opened my door and headed out into the hallway, making my way to the staircase, where I soon entered the kitchen

I turned to the mirror hanging on my wall, and nodded in satisfaction, I tied the the strings of my trainers then opened my door and headed out into the hallway, making my way to the staircase, where I soon entered the kitchen.

The smell of cooked pancakes wafted into the area, turning my attention to the ginger haired girl standing by the stove, cooking some pancakes, sensing my presence she turned and smiled at me.

"Morning Luna!"  I smiled back at the girl, then shook my head at her.

"Please, Xoe, don't call me that, you know quite well that I of all people shouldn't be the Luna.."

Another voice, more deeper spoke.

"And why is that?"

I froze, slowly turning to face two piercing blue eyes. I mumbled quietly to myself as he walked closer, lowering himself to my height he whispered:

"Unless you want me to finish what I started..I suggest you start acting like a Luna.."

Xoella raised an eyebrow, then scurried out of the kitchen, immediately turning away I walked to the stove and began to make myself some scrambled eggs, only to have them immediately taken away.

"Theres nothing wrong with tha-"

He scowled, and locked his jaw, "I choose when you eat..Luna, unless you've forgotten.."

I sighed then grabbing my jacket from the stand by the door I raced out heading into the forest, knowing it would be best to return when he  was gone.

Struggling with him? My wolf spoke in my mind, I was quick to reply back to her.

Well what do you think Accalia?

She scoffed and curled up blocking me out of our link, I sighed then tried reasoning with her.

I didn't mean to take it our on you..

Believable..

No really, I'm just tired of this honestly..

My wolf sighed then began to open up again.

Maybe a run would help..?

I smiled then jogged deeper into the forest, agreeing with her. I looked for a large enough tree to hide behind, the moment I found one I stood behind it and stripped down, before I began to shift.

I sighed in relief as i felt my bones break and readjust, whilst my skin stretched, letting brown fur coat it. Accalia pushed my control to the back of my mind, the moment she took control she raced around, narrowly dodging trees, jumping on rocks, and chasing birds. When she felt thirsty she decided to stop by the lake and began to drink some water to quench her thirst. Once she felt satisfied she sat down, her brown fur shining in the sun whilst her stormy eyes glinting, almost seeming white. She felt at ease, watching her feel happy made me feel satisfied, that is until we heard a distant growl, immediately she perked her ears up and she turned to the black furred wolf hidden in the trees, one word crossed our mind-link.

Mate.
