Chapter 4

"What is the meaning of this?"

We flinched at the tone of the voice, it wasn't anything we were used to, looking back at Xoella, she carefully peeled her gaze from Orale, lowering her knife in the process, she narrowed her eyes at the male figure who had questioned the recent event.

"Who are you, and what are you doing in our packs territory."  She spat out, her voice laced with menace. The male gave her a smug look then glanced back before locking his gaze on her. 

"Daniel. The beta of the Blood Lust pack-"

"And why are you here." She snapped at him, her hand clenching tighter onto the weapon, her skin burning as the silver made contact with her, he seemed to notice and held back his amusement with raised eyebrows. "So- you're going to keep on harming yourself with that weapon then.."  Gritting her teeth she placed the knife back into it's sheath on her waist. He seemed pleased then scanned the rest of us.

 "You both have the Aura of an Alpha..."  

Orale shrugged, finally calm from what had happened and had an apple in his hand. "Well..we do come from the Torresse family- Ow!" He glared at me as I jabbed him in his lower abdomen and I just shrugged, seating myself on the counter, Daniel gave us a strange look, when the realization dawned on him he froze. 

"So you're the Luna then-" 

I sighed, having this reaction multiple times from many other wolves, nodding slowly. Though to be honest I could understand, I was shorter then most average werewolves in our pack, making most people believe I as just an average warrior. 

"Huh..you don't- Uh- How do I put it?" He frowned his eyes looking anywhere but at my narrowed ones. 

"What? That I don't look like one?"  I held back a smirk, enjoying the fact i had made this beta uncomfortable.

"Luna- I- Never wanted to disrespect you or anything-" He continued to ramble on, his gaze fixed on the ground. 

Xoella looked back at me, her eyes glinting with mischief she walked closer to Daniel and placed a hand on her hip, "  You know...Our Luna can be quite...aggressive when you've offended her-" 

"And thats because..?"

I froze, all the amusement in my eyes vanished, turning to face the source my pupils dilated and I resisted the urge to look the figure right in they eyes.

Mate is here!

I think I know that Accalia.

He narrowed his eyes at the sight of Daniel then turned away his gaze and looked directly at me, his eyes turned a few shades darker for a moment before they returned to their natural color.

"Daniel. The meetings in a few minutes so I suggest you stop playing around with these...wolves.. and get your ass over to the office." 

He nodded immediately "Yes Alpha." At that we froze, He was an Alpha? He then turned to look back at me. 

"Oh right- Alpha, this is the Luna, Nao- was it?" It took me a moment to tear my gaze away from him and nod. "That would be me." His jaw clenched and he nodded, forcing a smile to plaster on his face. "Nice to meet you..Luna Nao." It took quite a lot of will to not shudder from the way my name rolled of his tongue. Curse this mate bond..

 How can you curse it? How can you curse him?!

I never cursed him- I hid the urge to scowl at her.

Indirectly...

Mumbling a curse I blocked her out.

"Nice to meet you too Alpha- Uhm whats your name again?"

"Lux, Lux Black-"
