Trigger Warning: Possible mentions of attempted suicide

****

No one really seemed to care when he had shown up. No one cared when he saved people like he did, or how he sought to protect those.

No, all they saw was someone angry.

Someone who was dangerous.

No one seemed to really care about Katsuki Bakugo, did they?

Bakugo found it funny. How people could hate like they did. Sure, he had a temper. Sure, he was irrational and rude,

but he was more than that.

He was a pro-hero for fucks sake.

The blond let out a light chuckle from where he sat on a rooftop. He often came here, to sit.

To think.

It was all the boy could do. It wasn't like he could go and talk to that dumbass, Kirishima. Or the idiot, Kaminari.

Sure they were his.. friends,

but they weren't people he could exactly show how he really felt.

At least, that's what Bakugo often thought. He rarely slipped out of his fiery persona he had in front of others.

He couldn't look weak.

He couldn't be weak.

The boy lets out another half-hearted laugh. His dumb mind was getting to him again. Of course it was. He lets out an irritated sigh. He went and stood up, carefully. He was on the edge of the roof after all.

Katsuki Bakugo went and turned on his heel, about to head towards a nearby fire escape, or the stairs. Just as he went towards the door, the knob turned,

and out walked a girl.

They both looked at each other. Bakugo didn't know what to do, or say in this situation. Hell, he didn't even know who this was.

The girl seemed to smile lightly. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't know someone else was here." she says, lifting her arm behind her head as she sheepishly rubs the back of her neck. Bakugo blinked his red hues. "Uh.. Whatever. I was just leaving." he grumbled, putting on that dumb persona of his.

The girl seemed to raise a brow. "Oh?" she sounded slightly disappointed. "And here, I thought I would actually have someone to chat with today." she lets out a small laugh. Bakugo blinked down at her, "Your a stranger. I don't know you." he responded, "I'd have no reason to stay here, with a random extra I don't give two shits about."

The look on that (h/c) haired girl's face was what had struck him hard. He didn't expect a sad reaction on her face. Of course he didn't. That's what he gets for letting his mouth spew out random words.

"I-..." he just sighed, going and pushing past her. He made his way down the stairs to the bottom floor. Well, he once again messed up, didn't he.

**

Bakugo had returned to the roof for multiple days. He didn't know why, but he expected to see the girl again. She never showed up.

Until one day, he saw her sitting there, on the ledge. She seemed to be talking out loud to herself. About what? Bakugo still had no idea.

The boy had silently walked up to the girl, but while he was walking, she stood. She had went and her body fell forward.

Katsuki Bakugo's eyes widened, and his body moved without thinking. He reached out, grabbing the girl's wrist. He pulled her into his chest, with her back against him. He didn't say anything, just held her with a panicked look in his red hues.

"..Why?"

The girl's voice was quiet as she spoke. She didn't say anything else, and she sounded like she had been crying.

Bakugo still held her. "I couldn't let you do that." he mumbled, "I couldn't let you throw away shit by swan diving off of a damn roof." How ironic his words were.

He said for his former childhood 'friend', Izuku Midoriya to take a swan dive just for being quirkless, yet...

here he was, holding a girl that tried to do the exact thing he had told another to do.

Bakugo's arms started shaking as he held her. "I won't let anyone do that to themselves." he mumbled. The girl seemed to sob as he held onto her. Bakugo had gone and moved away from the edge of the room, before both of them had collapsed onto the ground.

The girl had turned, her face buried in Bakugo's chest. The ash blond had defiantly not expected that of all things, but didn't really protest as he just held her.

Even if the girl hadn't wanted to be saved, and even though Bakugo had barely knew her,

At least he saved one person.
