I slowly blink my eyes open. The pain throbbing all over my body.
I see a woman with brown hair kneeling in front of me as if she is protecting me. I see a blonde hair guy in the corner and a man with the same blonde hair and a green top on, who looks like he wants to kill me pointing a shotgun at her that's meant for me.
As I slowly move to sit up, I whimper in pain. Their eyes turning to me as they now know I am awake.
"wh." I choke out, coughing a little. I take a deep breath. "Who? Who are you?"
The woman whose voice I just heard asking the man not to kill me, kneeling in front of me, slowly pushes me back down on the sofa "Noah my name is Flora, we found you in the forest while you was being attacked. You've been severely injured, and you need to rest" she says in a gentle voice as if not to scare me.
The big guy is still staring at me with the look in his eyes, he wants to kill me. "This is Joe and the other guy over there is my Husband Percy", Percy gives me a slight wave as he moves closer to get to Joe. He grabs Joe's hands, and he pushes the handgun away from him, and he walks over to the corner where the fireplace is. He pulls the lid upon a black box open is in the middle of their fireplace.
Feeling a little brave I ask, "How do you know my name, where am I, how did I get here and where's Sarah?" as I look around the room, it's small but spacious with a fireplace in the corner emitting the warmth to the house as the wood burns and crackles. The staircase to one side near the door, pictures up on the wall of Flora and Percy of what I assume to be their daughter. I see a picture of Joe and Percy looking younger, looking back at Joe it looks like he hasn't aged.
"Your sister Sarah told us your name earlier after calming her down," she smiles at me
"What do you remember from the attack?" Joe asks walking towards me, I still can't see past the look in his eyes like he will run me down right here right now.
But he looked like he had no choice.
Like he needed to protect something.
I need to get Sarah out of here.
"I don't, I don't remember" I try to explain. Moving my hands up to my head, stretching my fingers, and pulling through my hair, looking at it I noticed what was once bright red, now covered in blood.
My blood.
Pushing my fingers to my forehead pressing them down slightly trying to remember anything in the last 12 hours, why do I hurt so much? Why does it feel like I got hit by a lorry repeatedly?
