I was cold, freezing cold.

I couldn't see anything, I didn't even know where I was. I looked around me, hoping to find anything that would indicate to where I was yet all I saw was nothing. I started off walking to find anything that would help, eventually my walk turned into a jog then into a sprint.

I don't know why I was running or even where too but I didn't stop. Fear had taken over me and while I ran I kept looking over my shoulder. I wasn't sure what I was looking over my shoulder for yet I kept expecting to see something there.

I kept going further and further into the abyss constantly looking over my shoulder. My lungs were hurting and my legs ached. I wanted to stop and catch my breath but I kept on running. I looked over my shoulder again and yet again nothing. Then I tripped over my feet.

I banged my head hard against the floor. I thought I would feel pain but all I felt was numbness. I was so confused to what was actually happening. I stood up and was ready to start running again when a calmness over took me. I stood perfectly still, catching my breath.

When I felt ready I took a step and then froze. The fear had came back ten fold, I was terrified to move. My foot had landed into some warm, sticky and wet. I didn't want to look at my foot to see what I had it had landed on.

Whatever was on my foot was strangely warm, I really didn't know what to make of it. I couldn't make it out it was too dark to see, was this water or something? Then it hit me.

I knew the answer to what it was really yet I was trying to convince myself that it wasn't. My foot was currently standing on blood. The sense of dread was back and I had to run, I don't know where but I had too. I ran forward my feet now splashing on the blood as I charged ahead.

Yet this time I never got very far.

I was pulled down, landing face first into the blood, by something grabbing my leg. I quickly pulled my head up from it and stared at my leg. I saw a shadow of something move away from me yet I couldn't make out anything about it. I tried to gather myself up and continue running but I couldn't. I was shaking so bad I couldn't do anything else. I tried to force myself to move but nothing.

My thoughts were cut short by a groan or what sounded like a groan. I tried stayed as silent as possible. I didn't dare look around to find whatever that sound was. I heard a shuffle followed by another groan. I closed my eyes that whatever was making the sounds would leave.

The groaning got louder and the shuffling became more became more frantic yet I still refused to open my eyes. The sounds grew closer and closer until nothing. I wanted to open my eyes and look but I was still scared too, just in case something was there. I was there for what seemed like hours, my eyes still closed until I felt that it would be safe.

Eventually I thought it was safe and opened only one of my eyes and saw nothing, I let out a sign of relief. My relief was short lived. I heard little whispers coming from every direction. I tried to listen to what they were saying but all I could make out was a jumbled mess of little voices.

I focused all my attention trying to catch at least a part of what the voices were saying, as suddenly as the whispers started there was nothing the whispers stopped. Then something jumped on me. I tried to scream but something grabbed my mouth stopping me from screaming or yelling anything. My body was frozen and I wasn't sure what I could do. The thing holding me moved right next to me ear, I could hear little grunts coming from whatever it was.

"N-Not-t F-fa-fa-ir." This thing croaked out as it wrapped it's arms around my neck. "H-he-l-l-lp"
