It's the best day of the week, game day. I have been waiting for this time all week and our show is starting to look good. If only every day was like this.

The bell rings signing the end of the day. I head to the band room joined with one of my close friend, Marsh, who I would hang out with in the band room every single morning before class last year. Back when everything was better.

"Yo yo yo, Dall, what day is it?" Marsh said excitedly, beaming widely.

"It's game day," I reply smiling slightly.

"You know what that means, right?"

"Another Band Bus Breakdown?"

"Shush," he says gently nudging me with his elbow. "Believe it or not, I will always here for you. Even if you think you don't need it." Marsh is such a nerd, but that's what I like about him. He somehow manages to seem so calm even though he isn't most of the time. I wonder what is going on in his brain sometimes.

After we run through our show a couple more times before our band director call us all together to get ready to board the buses and tell us where we will be stopping to get dinner on the way to the football game.
