Foreword

Katniss.

Well, here I am, about to face a totally complicated world that not even scientists can understand exactly well. I'm not a very popular girl, I have few friends, and I don't have a boyfriend either, although that's not very important in my life. At just fifteen years old I started working as a reporter for the school newspaper, and it's a pretty busy hobby, and fun. In fact, I am the boss of all of them, it is incredible to give orders and that they obey you, of course I am not one of those people who like to manipulate others, although sometimes I get out of line and my nerves go away with certain people like Lisa Martínez, or Hanna Price, two of my best childhood friends, although not so friends anymore. The changes that brought me from elementary school to high school, was a huge change, all the students changed social circles, especially the girls, the boys took advantage of that change to join more and form large groups of more than 10 people; the girls, on the other hand, we had our differences, we distanced ourselves, we annoyed ourselves to demonstrate our charm in front of the boys, nonsense in reality, but, the girls are so impulsive, sometimes we can end up ruining a friendship in order to conquer a boy that perhaps we do not want to see again in all our life. On all my birthdays I have done everything, I have mounted an inflatable castle in a garden too dwarf for it, I have ridden on a pony -unicorn, I have had a party on the terrace with a super cool and very rhythmic dj along with a couple of beautiful dancers that my graceful mother managed to hire, and all to impress my friends at school.

This year I wanted to organize something different, something never seen in any of my parties, every year they always comment on my parties in the hallways of the institute, and there is always some bad criticism, most of them are good and that is what counts but, I try to improve every little detail to make it perfect.

Okay, well, I'm going to go through my list to see if I have everything ready for tomorrow night.

Katniss White's Sixteenth Birthday List:

-5-tier cake with special ingredients: chocolate, vanilla, meringue, whipped cream, filled with eggs, lacasitos, strawberries. And of course with my face in the form of a mini-me figure, on the top floor. ✔

-Drinks that do not contain alcohol, dance floor with lights on the ceiling that come out of a gigantic silver ball and that illuminate me when I enter the party.

-Convince Andrew Walker to come to my party (the most handsome boy of the insti).

-All have to be arranged, evening dresses for the girls, if possible light tones, so that the birthday girl shines with her dress of honor.

-16 candles, and a session of the film itself. Make the boys watch a girl movie, and have them put a boy movie on us.

-Lights off at 00.00, pajama party, boys sleep downstairs, girls in my room. ✔

-Mobiles, computers, tablets, or any type of electronic device turned on or used at midnight prohibited. ✔

I think everything is ready, I smile with a wide smile and I check it again when I check that one of them has no brand, oh oh.

One day to go.

Andrew Walter, I had completely forgotten. I told Samantha to invite her on my behalf, I forgot to ask her because I was afraid she would have rejected the proposal. I decide to call my friend and ask her what she knows about the matter. I dial his phone number, but the voicemail rings.

Great, this could only happen to me. I wish I had a little more time to convince him.

I send him a message that he seems to answer faster than calls.
