Singing Like We Mean It

Y/N POV

From that day on, Draco and I were inseparable. I had introduced him to Neville, Seamus, and Dean, and they were getting along fairly well. He even sometimes sat at the Gryffindor table with us! Even though the Golden Trio was still ignoring me, I felt happy. Draco and I met up every night in the Astronomy Tower. We talked, laughed, played games, and I felt safe with him.

One night in the Astronomy Tower..

"Hey Draco?"

"Yeah?"

"What muggle songs do you know?"

"Actually I know a lot..."

And this is how our night went. We danced around all night and took turns singing lines.

"OOOOOOOOH WERE HALFWAY THEREE!" He started, raising his hands up dramatically.

"OOOH OH! LIVIN ON A PRAYER!" I sang, doing a cartwheel.

"Sweeeet Caroline," He started.

"BUM BUM BUMMM!" We screamed.

"Good times never seemed so goooood!" I finished. We continued. Song after song until we were in pain from laughing so much.

After being extremely tired and worn out, we took a seat against the wall.

"Hey Draco?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you know any more songs?"

"Well I do know another one.." He transfigured a guitar and started playing.

We looked each other and smiled, before we heard clapping. We quickly turned around to find Dumbledore coming out of the shadows, with a familiar twinkle in his eyes, like always.

"That was wonderful! I have never heard such beautiful voices in all of my time here in Hogwarts. You both are very talented, and at such a young age." We blushed and said our thank you's.

"I'm expecting you both to perform at the Christmas feast tomorrow. You better be going back to your common rooms. I'll see you then." With that, he disappeared down the stairs.

"We have to perform?!" I asked nervously.

"Apparently so."

"But I don't like singing I front of people!!"

"You sang in front of me."

"But that because you sang first!" He just laughed.

"We'll be fine, Y/N. You heard Dumbledore. We have great talent and everyone's going to see that." I smiled and hugged him. We stood up and made our way to our dormitories. When I got there I showered and went to bed. Tomorrow was going to be stressful.
