I got to school the next day and slapped Rachel. All the time sitting around the house made me realize that she is just walking ALL over me. And that is not ok!!! So I slapped her. Now that I've grown a backbone some stuff is going to have to change around here. Meaning Rachel has something coming toward her.

GLEE CLUB

I got into the classroom and sat in the front row seat, nice and center.

"Hey that's my seat!" Rachel yelled at me.

"Hey! I don't care" I said with sarcasm dripping from my voice.

"Humph!" said Rachel as she made her way to the back row next to Puck and Quinn.

Mr. Shoe came into the class and informed us that today we would be performing our own sons that we were supposed to have written 4 weeks ago. I had mine done but most of the other kids didn't.

"Fine, the people who don't have a written song come over here and pick a song from this box full of sheet music. While there doing that people that have songs ready, you can go ahead and sing." He said. My hand shot right up to show him that I wanted to go first.

"Yes Ray, you can go first." He said. I ran up onto the stage. I had already prepped everything for this moment. I even had back-up singers and dancers.

Numbers go by, I'm losing track

Days go by, from when you packed

And I...stopped...crying!

Chorus

It doesn't hurt anymore

Sure glad you walked through that door

There's a new guy in my life

And he's staying that I'm sure

When you left, sure I was sad

But I shook it off

Nothing hurts me; I'm like rubber verse glue

Try to beat me, I beat you!

Now you're trying to make me jealous

But it ain't working no,no,no

I'm not scared of you

Chorus

Try to beat me!

Once I'd finished singing everyone had stopped what they were doing and started watching me. It felt amazing to be on stage and know that there only looking at you. Then Rachel ran on stage and pushed me off. She ran over to the piano man and told him the music for a song and then she went back to center stage.

"Hello! I'm now going to sing my song that I wrote."

Wake up in the morning

Put on a smiley face

Look in the mirror

Anyone can see

That this isn't the real me

Chorus

Sophisticated and sweet

That's what I'm supposed to be

But what if I don't' want to

What if I spike my hair?

Paint my finger nails black

What if I become a rebel?

The days go on but I'm struggling

To keep hiding my split personality

The frills I wear and the friends I make

Aren't real...their not me...the real me

Chorus

What if, What if, there's a world full of possibilities

What if, what if?
What if rocking is the new me

Chorus

Once Rachel had finished singing everyone's mouth dropped open. How can she be better than me? Was it just the song? I thought to myself. I think it was.
