"He's just there, like all the time!" Jack's frustration shines as she backs her point with hand gestures
"So you want him to back off?" a confused Joey tunes in to Jack and Craig's conversation in his back seat
"Yes? No? I don't really know, I just want him to tell me how he feels" the young girl exhales sharply as the red Cadillac pulls into the degrassi drop off lane
The girl is out of the car with a swift thank you as she waits on the steps for craig
Said boy attempts to climb out but is stopped by Joey "is she the girl you wanted to ask?"
Craig flushes as both his feet hit the pavement and his hand goes instinctually to his neck "uh, she's Jack.."
Joey's open mouth is shut by a car honk from behind his car but his face is enough for craig to know that the conversation is far from over --- Emma and Manny are walking and talking casually as they stroll upon Jack who stands alone at her locker
Smiles are shared as the girls link arms and manny speaks "So...did you get your poetry done?"
"Barely, and it's definitely not my finest work" to prove her point, Jack pulls a small folder out of her back
Emma's point is more broad as her face sours up "No."
"It's due today." Manny's statement is delivered with disappointment
"I know. But some stuff came up with my mom." Emma's reply peaks the groups interest
"Serious stuff?" Manny's gossip tone shines for a few moments before she stumbles into another student "Sorry."
The young Nelson's sigh does nothing to inform her friends before she forms an actual sentence "She wanted to talk to me about her new boyfriend. "
Manny doesn't leave room for any objections as she rushes to grab Emma by her shoulders "And you didn't call me? Who is it?"
Mr. Simpson captures the trio's attention as he steps into a chewed wad of gum "Got myself a bit of a uh sticky situation here."
Emma is now visibly fuming as she uses her lanky build to physically drag her two friends further down the hall "That's who. Simpson. My mom is seeing Simpson."
