Eyes

As soon as the voice came from the computer's speakers, I swear I saw a tear run down Tomoe's face.

Sofia was the first to speak up, "Hi, Mom!" she greeted her mother with a warm smile, a complete 180 from the ball of rage she was earlier.

"How's my little mermaid?"

Angelica was older woman, maybe mid 40s she looked like an older more sun tanned version of Sofia, which I guess makes sense.

"A-aa-Angelica?" Tomoe's voice was barely audible, thank god the mic seemed to pick it up because Angelica immediately  turned from her daughter to Tomoe, Angelica's eyes instantly locked onto Tomoe's closed eyelids.

"It happened huh, You can't see can you?" Angelica's tone quickly changed from hyper happy mother to calm.

All Tomoe could do was a slight nod.

"Sofia darling, could you use it on your bonehead of a father please." There was an evil chuckle in her voice that sent shivers down my spine, and not the good kind.

"Fine, but she's getting me bread." Angelica chuckled and nodded. I guess this was a normal Sofia thing.

"Fina, High Tide." One bright transformation later and Sereyna is standing beside Tsurugi-San.

"Ocean's Cure." It looked like Sofia was transferring her energy into Tomoe. Soon enough she fell down so exhausted she she de transformed.

"What did you do to me?" Tomoe covered her eyes, wait what?

"Tsurugi-San, why are you covering your eyes?"

"Jusko po, Tomo, baby, open your eyes please." A giggle could be heard from speakers.

"Madam Estreya, I don't mean to be rude but if y-"

"My eyes!" That was Tsurugi-San, isn't she blind, why would her eyes be...., unless...

"Sofia, Mme. Angelica, that Ocean's Cure, it wouldn't happen to have..."

"Healed her blindness?, yes, though it may take a bit for her eyes to settle..."

"Angelica... Di-Did you say that I--I-I can see?!" The disbelief and hope in Tomoe Tsurugi's voice was breath taking, especially for Kagami, I don't think my little dragon has seen so much emotion from her mother in 1 day before.

"It's an ability the mermaid Miraculous has. In exchange for not being able to transform for a week, Fina says the user can cure any  one illness." Wow, that's an amazing ability! Do all Kwami have extra abilities?, I'll have to ask Tikki later.

"Oh Sofia!, Thank you so much for healing my Mother!" If I didn't understand why Kagami was so happy, I would have pried my little dragon off of the tired mermaid user.

"No, Kagami, I like hugs but get off, I need to rest."

"Kagami, can I ask you to do something for me?" I could see some tears run down Angelica's face. I guess she knew about Tsurugi-San's Illness from..., actually, all I know about about Angelica is that she had Sofia with Tsurugi-San.

"Umm, not to interrupt, but Mme. Angelica, what exactly is your relationship with Tsurugi-San?, All we know is you had a child with her and that's about it."

"Oh, I never greeted you, umm..., who are you?" I would have sweat dropped but I remembered that I hadn't said anything this entire time.

"I didn't introduce myself so we both forgot. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng."

"Angelica Estreya, happy to meet you. As to my um... dysfunctional history with Tomoe..." I could see the sweat drop on her face.

"Kagami-Chan, I'm hoping It's okay if I call you that?, Would you mind if you could arrange for a flight for me from the Philippines?, I want to talk to Tomoe in person."

"She'll get right on that, as for the meantime; Marinette, could you please get my sleeping mask from my dresser, If I truly can see once again, I want all of you here with me. So until Angelica arrives here, that mask will not be leaving my face." There was still I slight tremble in Tsurugi-San's voice, but the Tsurugi Resolve was still clear as day.

"On it. Sofia come on, I'll set you on the couch."

So for the next week, this is how everything went;

Sofia was a couch potato all week since her energy was still drained from Ocean's Cure. Though the only time she'd get up from being a literal couch potato was to stuff her face with bread and other baked goods I bring her from the Bakery.

Seems that Tsurugi-San was listening when Sofia said she's pay for her bread for the week, she even had Maman and Papa try to make some Filipino baked goods, I personally recommend the Spanish Bread, don't understand why it's called that but it's amazing.

I couldn't exactly tell my parents that 'Mom, Dad, Kagami's mom got her sight back from a new hero and apparently has another child from a Filipino girl she got pregnant and is now buying her bread for the week' so basically this is what they know.

Kagami's Mom woke up one morning and she could see blurs, she went to her doctor and said she had a one  in a thousand chance of getting her eye sight back if she ate just bread for a week straight. I know, that's ridiculous, how else was I supposed to explain why the Tsurugis were paying me to deliver bread three times a day. I still can't believe Sofia can eat so much bread.

Kagami has been so sweet this week, and by that I mean literally sweet. She asked if I could teach her how to bake on the excuse of "If my princess was ever too tired to bake, I can do it for her."

She is sweet, and her bread really shows that, the first thing we tried were cookies. It was fun making them with Kagami, watching her measure every ingredient to the recipe she found online was cute, scooping the dough was another issue, she didn't have an ice cream scoop, my poor poor Kagami, going her whole life without tasting ice cream is just horrible.

Anyway, I told Kagami to eye ball the dough into balls then gently press them down a little. The finished product was great for her first time baking, though they were kinda dry and a bit too sweet.

As for me, I pretty much summarized my time, going to and from the Tsurugi household, baking with Kagami. I know, not much, but I still had a good week.

Which brings us to now, I was walking to Tsurugi house's front door, someone was ringing the bell.

"All right, hold your horses, I'm coming..."

When I opened the door, I almost sprinted to Kagami and Sofia in the living room in excitement.

"Hello there, Marinette was it?, I'm here to see my Daughter and her bonehead of a Dad."

Angelica Estreya had finally arrived.
